Twenty-five years ago, the major emerged a hero from the bombing of the Pegasus Hotel in downtown Dallas when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors out of the collapsing building. The iconic picture transformed him into a beloved national icon, in constant demand for speeches and interviews - until he suddenly dropped out of the public eye.

I love the Penn Cage story line and have read them all. I've read and listened to the latest Mississippi trilogy. I liked the reader, Robert Petkoff who performed THE BONE TREE best. However I love all three books so listened to them in their entirety. MISSISSIPPI BLOOD was great and tied up lots of loose ends and was totally believable to me! I actually lived in Natchez, MS from 1954 through 1966. This helped me visualize lots of scenes from the book. I was sorry the trilogy was over but I am hoping Greg Isles will allow us to visit with Penn Cage and his family again real soon!F

With Love from the Inside kept my attention from the beginning. Having two wonderful readers share this book was a great blessing. Sophie goes through losing her baby brother to losing her Dad. Then she reinvented herself because she was ashamed of her family. Thought the ending would be different but upon reflection, it ended exactly right. Will read this author again.

First book/audio book by Robert Bailey. Just ordered Between Jack and White, the follow up! The villains in this book are among the worse, thinking that violence is the answer to everything. Money is actually the root of all evil. Tom McMurtrie is very likeable, facing the end of his career as he is forced into retirement by unscrupulous means. Rick Drake is the feisty "new comer lawyer." The narration was good, just had a few places where I was not sure who was speaking. Looking forward to reading next book!

On the right side of the law. Sort of. Sebastian Rudd is not your typical street lawyer. He works out of a customized bulletproof van, complete with Wi-Fi, a bar, a small fridge, fine leather chairs, a hidden gun compartment, and a heavily armed driver. He has no firm, no partners, no associates, and only one employee: his driver, who's also his bodyguard, law clerk, confidant, and golf caddy.
