Wow, what a GREAT set of audiobooks!!
I was drawn in immediately, and loving a good scare I immediately immersed myself into the darkness and ate it up like a chocolate mousse pie. It's not IN YOUR FACE horror, but a slow build of tension, suspense and fright until you feel like you're about to explode!!
LOVE Scare Street and all the authors that make these audiobooks... .really great stuff! I enjoyed it and definitely recommend this series to others.
GREAT WRITING, GREAT NARRATION - loved it!!

Jane Austen completed Persuasion in August 1816. It was to be her last book. She left us with the story of Anne Elliot and Captain Wentworth, and she left them approaching happily ever after. What happens the day following happily ever after? The story of Kellynch picks up three years after the couple married and were able to secure the Kellynch estate from Sir Walter when cousin William Elliot agreed to waive the entailment. It would seem all is well with the young couple, but all is not as it seems.

OF course, we all know Jane Austen rocks! Wonderful author.
I found this "continuation" of the story very nicely done. While none of us can write like Jane, Kwen did a very decent and respectable job.
I very much enjoyed the story, and would definitely listen to/read more by the author, and narrator.

“Bad Bobby” Trent, star high school athlete, college scholarship holder, pro-rodeo circuit rider, lived an unencumbered life. He was a man, who, by his own definition, limited his concentration to no more than eight seconds at a time - the time required to ride a bull or saddlebronc and win. He’s tough, independent, shallow, and always looking for a good time. Then his father is murdered. Sheriff Robert Trent, was the longtime chief law enforcement officer of Lodge Pole County Montana. He was stern, fair, honest, and dependable.

When the Nazis invaded Hungary in 1944, they sent virtually the entire Jewish population to Auschwitz. A Jew and a medical doctor, the prisoner Dr. Miklos Nyiszli was spared death for a grimmer fate: to perform "scientific research" on his fellow inmates under the supervision of the man who became known as the infamous "Angel of Death" - Dr. Josef Mengele. Nyiszli was named Mengele's personal research pathologist. In that capacity he also served as physician to the Sonderkommando, the Jewish prisoners who worked exclusively in the crematoriums and were routinely executed after four months.

Wow, what a horrifying account of the atrocities of Auschwitz and the concentration/extermination camps. He was, in a way, one of the lucky ones there. He had food, clothing, a bed, and was not involved in the hard labor (for the most part).
He was one of the special "Sonderkommandos," who had much better living conditions but were exposed to the nastiest side of live in the camps - dealing with the bodies. After 4 months the hundreds of sonderkommandos were routinely exterminated, as they were deemed to know "too much."

This book also gave us a little more insight into Dr. Mengele, who is both terrifying and fascinating, but by all accounts a monster. It's amazing all of the atrocities by the Nazis largely went undiscovered until the worst of it had passed.

EVERYONE these days calling conservatives NAZIS should READ THIS BOOK and others on the subject before making such ridiculous accusations.

I loved the writing and the narration, and really enjoyed the listen. It's good!! :) I've often thought about what I, or someone I love, would do in the same situation. I watch too many True Crime ID shows haha, and if it were me, the ones who committed the crime would be toast. But, is that what God teaches us?
