Ariane is on her own and on the run. Rex Major has swayed her erstwhile best friend Wally to his side. And when she finally hears the faint call of the third Shard of Excalibur, it’s on the other side of the world, in New Zealand! Wally, meanwhile, is discovering that life as Major’s “guest” isn’t all it promised, especially when he finds out Major’s plans for Ariane’s aunt. With Aunt Phyllis under threat, Ariane has no choice but to walk directly into Rex’s trap - and hope she can find a way to protect both the Shard and those she loves.

Having saved the first Shard of the sword Excalibur from Internet mogul Rex Major (aka Merlin), Ariane and Wally are on the lookout for the second. Wally is worried that the power of the first Shard is already changing Ariane, giving her the strength to do good and evil, and when she badly injures his bullying sister, Flish, it seems he’s right.

The exciting, wacky and dangerous adventure continue for Ariane and Wally. I loved this second installment, and I think fans of the first in the series will love it. That freaking Rex Major always trying to make things difficult, just wait to find out what he does this time!

Just when you think the twists have twisted in every possible direction, things go wonky. It's an exciting and thrilling story, and I was sucked in and wasn't let go until the end. Can't wait to get started with Book #3!

Writing and narration are AWESOME, I'm really liking this series, great stuff!

Ariane's life is complicated. Her mother suddenly disappeared two and a half years ago, she's trying to get used to living with her aunt after bouncing around a series of foster homes, and she's taking a lot of grief from the clique of "in" girls at school. To make matters even worse, now she's having strange dreams involving swords and knights and battles, and things seem to get weird whenever she touches water. Next thing she knows, she's been sent on a quest to find the five scattered shards of Excalibur.

Great story, compelling characters, and a lot of action and twists in this one - very intriguing and will keep you interested.
I'd highly recommend this book. Never a dull moment, exciting and thrilling throughout.

A very comprehensive and thorough look at recognizing and refining your intuitive skills to be a benefit to both yourself and others. This is super interesting and I found the whole thing fascinating, and want to learn more. I'm very sensitive/intuitive by nature, and I'd be interested in learning more about the craft.

Great writing, great narration, I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to learn more about themselves and the world around them.

People, just because the story isn't exactly what you thought it would be doesn't mean it's not still a great story. The publisher's summary doesn't lead me to believe it's all about the storm.... and I thought the story was great!

I tend to like series in my post-apocalyptic reads/listens, but this one packed a lot into a relatively short amount of time. Very interesting premise, and the characters were well done and I was captivated by the story from beginning to end.
