In Living in a Mindful Universe, the New York Times bestselling author of Proof of Heaven and The Map of Heaven shares his insights into the true nature of consciousness. Embracing his radically new worldview, he began a committed program of personal exploration into non-local consciousness. Along the way, he met Karen Newell, who had spent most of her lifetime living the worldview he had only just discovered was possible. Her personal knowledge came from testing various techniques and theories as part of her daily routine.

The Reluctant Messenger leads the listener through a doorway into another dimension that exists simultaneously with what most people would describe as reality. Author Candice Sanderson is a psychologist whose training taught her to engage her world by the physical senses. That all changed one morning when she began to receive messages from other realms of existence, and her ordinary life transformed as she embarked upon this extraordinary journey into the unknown.

Having had an NDE when I was young, it was quite the journey to live a life with so much lack of support around to guide me and tell me what to do with this knowledge I came back with. Candice's experience help me so much at clarifying, explaining and solving my own life mystery. I drove from Montreal, Canada all the way to Boulder, Colorado and spend 4 days listening to this amazing book. The flaw is more on the recording. Ms Negron has a beautiful voice and tells the story with kindness yet her punctuation was way to slow for me. I ended up speeding the reading to 1.15x in order to accelerate the pauses and choppiness of her narration. Thank you Candice for this amazing journey I went through with your story.

Found it unnecessary to constantly narrate the who is talking. It could have been fine to explain the question and answer mode and the narrator was using different tones for both people so quite easy to follow.

Dad gave me my late mother's engagement ring, platinum and diamonds galore. Shannon wouldn't care if I slid a giant hard-candy ring on her finger instead of a three-carat diamond designed to impress. But my future mother-in-law, Marie, will pass out when she sets eyes on that rock, which will give us two minutes of blessed silence ... I was going to make it perfect, from the color of the tablecloth to the freshness of the roses. And it was perfect...until Shannon swallowed the ring.

a wow all the way. i am simply mesmerized by zachary weber since Grey and I decided to read this book because of him. got cough without warning by the story. the only negative point is the female narrator. I'm sorry but... wtf? I could not stand her melodramatic slow pace. I found that player at 1,25x speed made it tolerable. I would of prefered having just one voice for both charactors.
