In Room 217 of the Lakes Region Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic, something has awakened. Something evil. Brady Hartsfield, perpetrator of the Mercedes Massacre, where eight people were killed and many more were badly injured, has been in the clinic for five years, in a vegetative state. According to his doctors, anything approaching a complete recovery is unlikely. But behind the drool and stare, Brady is awake and in possession of deadly new powers that allow him to wreak unimaginable havoc without ever leaving his hospital room.

If you could sum up End of Watch in three words, what would they be?

END OF WATCH!!!

Have you listened to any of Will Patton’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

WIll Paton is an execellent narrator! In every book I've listened to, that he has narrated, he leaves a unique mark on each story. Never do I think that Will Paton is reading....I believe in all the characters he creates!!! LOVE IT!! KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WORK!!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but I wanted to savour each part because I knew it was the end...so I would restart the book in places I already listened to in order to soak in every bit of the story!!

When four classmates from a small Massachusetts college move to New York to make their way, they're broke, adrift, and buoyed only by their friendship and ambition. There is kind, handsome Willem, an aspiring actor; JB, a quick-witted, sometimes cruel Brooklyn-born painter seeking entry to the art world; Malcolm, a frustrated architect at a prominent firm; and withdrawn, brilliant, enigmatic Jude, who serves as their center of gravity.

Late on a frozen February evening, a young woman is running through the streets of London. Having fled from her abusive boyfriend and with nowhere to go, Jess stumbles onto a forgotten lane where a small, clearly unlived-in old house offers her best chance of shelter for the night. The next morning a mysterious letter arrives - and when she can't help but open it, she finds herself drawn inexorably into the story of two lovers from another time.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The book was very interesting..until the last 1/4 of the book...it fell apart...Sci-Fi was not what I had expected...it was like the author didn't know how to end the book..you get right into the characters and then splat!
