James de Vere has always insisted on being perfectly pragmatic and rational in all things. It seemed the only way to deal with his overdramatic, greedy family. When he falls ill and no doctor in London can diagnose him, he returns home to Grace Hill in search of a physician who can - or to set his affairs in order. Arriving at the doctor's home, he's surprised to encounter the doctor's daughter Laura, a young woman he last saw when he was warning her off an attachment with his cousin Graeme. Alas, the doctor is recently deceased and Laura is closing up the estate.

I really like this author I've never been disappointed in her books. This was another hit for her. The book is a romance with a mystery in it. I love books like that.

Hannah Malone loves her new town. Despite living in Cunningham Falls for five years, she's still considered a "move in" by most of the locals, and that doesn't bother her in the least. She's the "new girl", and she hasn't regretted it for one day. This town is her sanctuary. Her home. The one place she finally fits in and feels safe after a lifetime of being different and running from the memories and a past so far away it can't haunt her anymore.

When Lady Helena Simpson flees an unwanted marriage to a revolting lord, she finds refuge with James, a charming, handsome man unlike any she's ever known. Helena concocts the perfect solution to her problem. She asks - begs - James to ruin her. Surely her betrothed will repudiate her if she is no longer pure. And if all her efforts fail and she still ends up married to a horrid man until the end of her days, she will at least once have known true passion.

I had never read this author before, I bought this because the summary made it sound interesting. It was all sex no real developed story, I fast forward through most of it. What a wast of money. I'll never buy anything written by this author again.

Sophie Dempsey wants to help her sister film a video and then get out of Temptation, Ohio. Mayor Phin Tucker wants to play pool with the police chief and keep things peaceful. But when Sophie and Phin meet, they both get more than they want. Gossip, blackmail, adultery, murder, vehicular abuse of a corpse, and slightly perverse but excellent sex: all hell breaks loose in Temptation.

The narrator read too fast, I almost stop listening but I got use to her after a few chapters. Also I didn't care for the beginning of the story but it improved and ended up being a good story. If I hadn't paid for it I probably would have stopped listening after the first 1 or 2 chapters.

I feel cheated, I was really enjoying this book when it ends in the middle of the story. At first I thought it hadn't finished downloading, then I found out there is a second book "The Proposal". You have to buy "The Proposal" to read the second half of the story. Its not a series, Its one book divided into two books.
The performance: I didn't like the narrator at first but she grew on me and I enjoyed it after a chapter or two.
