I just wish Sandra Brown could write faster. And the narrators are so good - they really bring the characters to life. Can’t wait for her books to come out!

I absolutely loved this book and the narration was perfect. I’m never disappointed in Reese’s choices but this one is my favorite so far. The author brings these people to life and you know them. You’ve met them all and you feel their emotions. Great audiobook if you’re looking for solid entertainment that engages you quickly and doesn’t let go - and you hope it never will!

I just could not get into the story because it was so disjointed. You were always wondering if you had missed something. Not too crazy about the narrator either. Maybe if the story had been told in a more straightforward fashion and hadn’t ended with a justification I could not relate to......

Not enough character or issue depth

This story never drew me in. It was similar to people sitting around talking briefly about a number of things that happened in their lives but only from a very shallow viewpoint. Nothing wrapped up well or resolved itself. All of a sudden Jessie is no longer seeing Darren, Kate has stopped being an alcoholic, the grandmother turns into a sweet non-prejudiced person, what happens to Patti who being battered by Luke - she just left with him and not idea whether the battering was ever resolved. These are all worthy subjects but you don’t just scratch the surface of them and then tie them up with a bow or not, and never explore the depth of any of it. I could go on and on because this book just left me feeling frustrated and not happy that I spent the time I did listening to it. Maybe if it had been told from someone’s point of view so that we had at least one person’s insight and emotions by which to judge all of these
heavy issues. The idea was good but it was not well executed.

This was an extremely entertaining audiobook. The narration was perfect and I loved how the bees and their “wisdom” was woven into the story. The story was a little out there but perfectly on key. This is another winner for the Lowcountry and DBF. I highly recommend!

I have to say I really got this book. I was more entertained than I have been in months of listening to fine authors and narrators. The narration of this book was phenomenal and made it fir me. The subtle humor and its delivery would at times have me laughing out loud almost hysterically. Marsha was a little over the top and it got a little weird but the character development and animated delivery was top notch all the way. Frances was my favorite character by far. You have to listen - this is not a book you play in the background - you don’t want to miss all the hilarious lines that are delivered so eloquently. Listen to this book and enjoy the storytelling of a master and the perfect narrator!

This was an important book that helps women understand the traits they share as victims and the difficulties of overcoming how hard we can be on ourselves. It also reminds us that there are good people in the world who are forgiving and generous in spirit if we open ourselves up to the experience life.

What a marvelous book! I love the timeframe and the depth of the characters. This book gives you a glimpse into the souls of women that love, hurt, and forgive. It can be a light read or a deep read depending on your need but overall it’s an entertaining and enjoyable read! I always love KW’s books and this one is one of my favorites.
