"A publisher in New York asked me to write down what I know about the Greek gods, and I was like, 'Can we do this anonymously?' Because I don't need the Olympians mad at me again. But if it helps you to know your Greek gods, and survive an encounter with them if they ever show up in your face, then I guess writing all this down will be my good deed for the week." So begins Percy Jackson's Greek Gods, in which the son of Poseidon adds his own magic - and sarcastic asides - to the classics.

This book is absolutely filled to the brim with gods!!! Actually there are only thirteen in the book. I think... Anyway I really REALLY liked this book if you think I'm not really telling why I liked it is because I don't want to "spoil" it. Well maybe people only read the reviews after they have read no, LISTENED to the book.
well the point is this book is really good. But be warned: THIS BOOK MAY SEEM A BIT CHILDISH! Depending on your age this book has various levels of intrestingness. Yup totaly a word. That one too.

I should have asked the question "How could someone who was missing be in two places at once?" Instead, I asked the wrong question - four wrong questions, more or less. This is the account of the second. In the fading town of Stain'd-by-the-Sea, young apprentice Lemony Snicket has a new case to solve when he and his chaperone are hired to find a missing girl. Is the girl a runaway? Or was she kidnapped? Was she seen last at the grocery store? Or could she have stopped at the diner? Is it really any of your business? These are All the Wrong Questions.

In a fading town, far from anyone he knew or trusted, a young Lemony Snicket began his apprenticeship in an organization nobody knows about. He started by asking questions that shouldn't have been on his mind. Now he has written an account that should not be published, in four volumes that shouldn't be read. This is the first volume.

Even as a kids book the plot is kind of 'grown up style'. Very serious and makes you think. Very enjoyable
