91 year-old Ira Levinson is kept concious after a car wreck by visions of his late wife, Ruth, who recounts stories of their lifetime together. A few miles away, at a local rodeo, Sophia Danko, a senior at Wake Forest, meets a young cowboy named Luke. Ira and Ruth. Sophia and Luke. Two couples who have little in common. Yet their lives will converge with unexpected poignancy, reminding us all that even the most difficult decisions can yield extraordinary journeys: beyond despair, beyond death, to the farthest reaches of the human heart.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Longest Ride to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print version, but I feel Ira's character was most definitely enhanced by being able to hear his voice.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Longest Ride?

Ira describing the scene of Ruth's death, how he held her and pleaded with the medics to do something. It broke my heart.

What about Ron McLarty and January LaVoy ’s performance did you like?

I loved Ron's version of Ira. It made the experience better for me.

Who was the most memorable character of The Longest Ride and why?

Ira. He was honest and good.

Any additional comments?

The story was a bit predictable but was exactly what you would expect from a N. Sparks novel.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The content was okay but the performance made it much worse for me. Almost a waste of my time

Would you recommend The Reluctant Sex Collection, Twenty Erotica Stories to your friends? Why or why not?

Wouldn't recommend. I was unimpressed with the performance. It felt like the person reading it was not aware of what she was reading.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jennifer Saucedo?

I don't know

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Um, no:) they don't play these types of movies in the theaters I go to

Any additional comments?

The narrator didn't seem to be paying attention. She would end sentences with question in her voice even if it wasn't a question, and she seemed bored with the content.
