Interesting enough but not worth the time to read. Plot became more ridiculous all the way through, with the end just sounding totally silly. Will make an average quality Hallmark movie. Narrator was fine except when she tried to speak in characters' voices. They were all the same (but protagonist's was more breathy, completely unfitting for a strong girl and then, woman.

Interesting, fleshed out characters performed by an excellent narrator. The plot was neither unpredictable nor quite expected. I guess, realistic. Creatively told and sometimes beautifully written story of our times.

The story of the Levovs is all of ours. Brilliant insights, with times for the reader to laugh out loud, even as the story moves inevitably deeper into tragedy.

The narrator is overall very good, except when he is voicing certain female characters (and one annoying male), he tends to increase his volume and speak at a too-high pitch. The story gives fascinating insight into gender roles and generally living in Mumbai and other parts of India. I don't know if it's listening to vs reading the book, but I found the switching between couples and time frames to be confusing at times.

A fascinating memoir of a woman with schizophrenia. Clear portrayal of differing treatment techniques and practices in the US and England. First person descriptions of how it feels to have hallucinations and delusions, and severely distorted thought and speech. Amazing that Saks is still able to study, perform extraordinarily well in school, with close friends, and professionally.

Am amazing, true story of Injustice and justice in modern America. Beautifully told. Motivating, too.
