The Little Book of Common Sense Investing audiobook cover art

Invest in Index Fund.If you get that, don't waste$

Overall
3 out of 5 stars

Invest in index funds is the only message from the book. The authors mentions this over and over again in this book and quotes many successful investors backing that. If someone is not sold on index fund then I would recommend this book. Otherwise save the cost of buying this book and instead add it to your index fund.

I had bought the book few years back when I started investing. Bought the audio book recently so I could listen anytime. Must read for anyone who wants to invest in the market. This book will help you to avoid many common mistakes most common investors commit. Save yourself thousands and make your self informed by spending few $. Mr. Lynch explains the many investment concepts in lay man terms.

This is a must read for anyone (day traders, investors etc). Very educational! Book introduces you to many things including bucket shops, the fallacy of following the crowd and how fundamentally nothing changes in wall street. This book is an eye opener and following some of the simple principles mentioned will get anyone ahead of the crowd and will make some $. I continue to listen to this book regularly.

The Alchemy of Finance audiobook cover art

Research paper for academicians

Overall
2 out of 5 stars

Research paper for academicians is what this book is. I bought this book with an idea getting some insight into George Soros investment style, his failures, success and to understand his decision making process. What this book offers is an explanation of how the author thinks the market works and explains this in technical terms. Most of it went over my head. This is not for an average investor. Someone doing a research on financial markets could glean something meaningful from the book
