Very short book, but a great little hot story. The narrator has a good voice, but her delivery is stilted and rigid. I’d still recommend.

This was a good listen, and I’ll probably try the others in the series. Good storyline, interesting characters, even if Bull was a little predictable.

A few things that bugged me were:
I thought the female narrator was saying “Bowl” instead of “Bull” until I heard the male narrator say it. Otherwise, I enjoyed her narration.
No one from New York says “mash” when they mean “press,” making it sound unbelievable that Lily was from New York. One mashes potatoes and presses buttons. Mashing buttons and other items is a southern grammar error.
Finally, the author used “I” when “me” would have been correct.
Even with these and other grammatical issues, it was an entertaining listen.

Jessica Hawkins is an amazing author. If you’ve only read/listened to this book, don’t let that stop you from her others. This felt like she hired an intern to write it and put her name on it. No depth, no chemistry, no sex. It’s basically a Hallmark Cannel movie in book form.
If you’re a Jessica Hawkins fan, don’t waste your money; you’ll be disappointed.

I'm breaking up with setups. No more “you should meet my son, nephew, grandson, the butcher, the guy down the street who mows my lawn.” People mean well, but machines know better, so I'll rely on the great dating algorithms of the web to find my ideal man, thank you very much. Soon enough, it looks like I’ve found him - his screen name is Lucky Suit, and he’s hilarious, quick-witted, and full of heart. But when we finally get together in person, I have the distinct feeling I’ve met him before. Funny enough - he says the same thing about me.

If you’re expecting a Lauren Blakey book, this isn’t it. This is a sweet, no substance romance that you could read aloud to a group of grandmothers at the nursing home. Quite frankly, they’d probably be bored too. I liked the characters, but there just wasn’t anything below the surface. There isn’t so much as a kiss that’s described. Even their big kiss is more alluded to. If you like light and super sweet, go for it. If you want romance and steam, keep moving. So glad I didn’t pay for this. I only finished it because I was driving and couldn’t pull over to change books.

Sierra Simone never fails to please. Until now. I was excited to see a new book from her, but this book is horrible. The male narrator sounds like he's 75 and has a stick up his butt. The female narrator isn't as bad, but she's not great. The story may actually be okay, but I just couldn't listen to anymore. The narrators can make or break an audiobook, and the male narrator broke this for me. However, I really don't think the story would have been much better with good narration. I may give it a try on kindle and see if I can enjoy it.

They say your first kiss should be earned. Mine was stolen by a devil in a masquerade mask under the black Chicago sky. They say the vows you take on your wedding day are sacred. Mine were broken before we left church. They say your heart only beats for one man. Mine split and bled for two rivals who fought for it until the bitter end. I was promised to Angelo Bandini, the heir to one of the most powerful families in the Chicago Outfit. Then taken by Senator Wolfe Keaton, who held my father’s sins over his head to force me into marriage.

I LOVE LJ Shen. I was so excited to see a new book from her. However, I was soon disappointed. First, I've never liked the female narrator she uses, Savannah Peachwood. It's usually worth it, but not this time. The male narrator was good. The big problem is that there is no story. Nothing happens, except droning on, with many things being repeated over and over and over. One of these things is the heroine mentioning that she misled her fiance about the fact that she's a virgin. She led him to believe she's not, and this is mentioned over and over and over, for no effect.

I have about an hour left in this, and I'm finally giving up. The sex has no chemistry, there isn't much of it, and the rest is hatred between the two main characters, which keeps coming back. They like each other for a few days, then have another misunderstanding and hate each other again. If someone really wanted to tell this story, it could be done in two hours instead of 12.

Gypsy - Lucian West isn’t husband material. He's a stiff in a suit. Granted a hot one, but still. He’s one of the most hated men in America. An arrogant asshole. A ruthless attorney. He gets what he wants in the courtroom, and outside of it. Now, he wants me. For reasons I can’t fathom, he’s determined to make me his wife. He makes it clear he’s not above blackmailing me to put a ring on my finger. The man might be richer than sin with devilish good looks, but hell will freeze over before I ever give my heart to him.

One night. No names. No commitment. That was our agreement. But Spencer Lancaster was addictive. And I was high. High off his taste, starved for his kiss, and desperate for his touch.
