If unaddressed, insulin resistance can lead to Type 2 Diabetes and the negative health consequences associated with that, making them more susceptible to heart disease and stroke, as well as causing nerve and kidney damage, robbing them of 10 years of life! Insulin resistance and Type 2 Diabetes have been on the rise over the last 50 years as diets have shifted to start including much more sugars and simple carbohydrates, especially from the over-processed foods that have become so common.

There is a lot of information in this audiobook. It is geared more to Type II Diabetes.
There is a lot of history of diabetes, what is is, various forms, different diets used in the past, and much more.
It is not just a recipe book.
Skyler Morgan has a very nice voice and easy to listen to.

I am writing this review in March, and even though this is a book focused on Christmas you can listen to it any time of year.
Isla and Duncan are both the sweetest main characters. They have been friends for years, but they are afraid to let the other know they have deeper feelings as they don't want to mess up their friendship.
All Isla cares about is racing and Duncan is a youth pastor. Duncan tells Isla to make a list of 12 things she wants to do. He will try to make as many of them happen as he can. I won't give away anything else.
This book is perfect for those who love Hallmark, super sweet romances, friends to lovers, Christmas inspired books, etc.
I will listen to this story and over and over as it is so sweet! I will be trying other books by this author as I just loved this story.
The narration was nice as well. I felt like I was in the characters heads instead of listening to a narrator.

There are so many benefits that come with going on water fasts. Just by restricting yourself to consuming only water for a few days, you can help your body enter into the process of autophagy. With this process, as we will explain in more detail as we go through this guide, you will see that the body naturally heals itself, allowing you to lose weight, prevent aging, stop a lot of different diseases, and more.

I got this book becuase I know I had heard several people mention they thought fasting may be a good idea for me. I have read about several version of fasting but never water fasting. I don't drink much other than water so the idea of this was interesting to me.

At first, I found this book very interesting. They author goes into benefits, side effects, types, lengths, religious practices, and much, much more. I found this all very interesting. I found though as the book went on it started to sound a bit repetative. Overall a very interesting book and I may try this fast for a day as I have tried a few others to see how it compares.

If you do your research, and water fasting sounds like it may be for you, it is worth a listen.

The vast majority of this book is about water fasting types, length, background, etc, and about 30 minutes actually dedicated to how to do it.

I know that the author has to cover their butt by saying talk to your doctor, but I feel this book wold be 30 minutes shorter as it seems to appears at least once a paragraph. I know this can benefit many, but it can also harm many, but again, just overly repetative.

There is also a bonus book sneak peak at the end of this recording on eating and mental clarity. It sounds very interesting and I will probably give it a listen when it comes out.

There are two books in this bundle which is a great deal for those who are especially new to minimalism and very busy.

The first book "Organizing Your Home for Busy People" was not one I really connected with. I am busy all day but not to the point I can't find time to organize during the week. I found a lot of the habits the author mentions unrelatable. Now with that said. This was not a book for me, but I know of friends that this section of the audiobook could greatly help. If you relate to the title you will probably benefit from this book.

The second book "The Japanese Art of Declutter" spoke more to me. I have enjoyed other books similar to this, but the one thing I really enjoyed is how the author goes into various types of minimalism. She has information for newbies but even some information for people who have been doing minimalism for a while and maybe want to go a little deeper with it or change things up a bit. She goes into some of the dangers/drawbacks of types of minimalism. I really appreciate the openess and honesty.

Both narrators were very pleasent and easy to listen too.

I had a hard time putting this audiobook on pause.
The story was intriguing although sad in parts.
I sometimes have a hard time with a split plot line in audiobooks but not this one. It was very clear who was in the scene, who was talking, where the scene was etc. I liked that it started as one story line, split, and comes back together in the end. It is well done.
I am very intrigued as to what the next book will be.
Lee Brophy has such a beautiful, calm, soothing voice. At times I had to pause because his voice could put me to sleep (in the best way) just by relaxation. He did a great job of being a little more monotone in the sadder bits and brought more inflection in the happy bits. His voices were clear and distinct. Very easy to follow just by voice. I hope he continues to narrate the series.

I was not sure how I was going to like a 38 minute mystery. The premise had me very interested though. After listening to this short story I really want to listen to some more books in the series.
It is not a very exciting mystery but it sucks you into the series.
The characters were all very likeable and feel like old friends. There were also some very funny bits (coffee related) and sweet bits. Lastly, there is a question I just want to know the answer too.
I cannot wait to listen to another in the series.
Adam Schulmerich does a great job with the narration and has great inflection and distinct voices for each majour and minour character.

Brandy Jo Danner made up her mind in the third grade that someday, she was going to marry Dane Bronson. "Determined" doesn't begin to describe Brandy Jo.... "Sassy" would be more accurate. Dane has wanted to ask Brandy Jo out for the past 14 years, but his shyness has kept him at bay. It appears two people could not be more different. When Dane finally works up the courage to ask her out, his rival, Hank Halverson, gives Dane a run for his money.

It is the classic love story of two childhood friends who secretly both love each other but never act on it. It is a very straightforward book, no crazy twists or turns, but I actually quite enjoyed that. It was just a simple, sweet, love story.
Even though you know where the story is going you are just rooting for these two the entire time.
I really enjoyed the rodeo/western backdrop of the story as well.
Samuel Deeter does a great job with the narration. It is very clear which character is talking based on his voice.

Clive Johnson does a great narration. What I like about his narrations is he talks close to a conversational voice speed, which I find keeps me more engaged and would probably do the same for kids.

I enjoyed The Frost Kingdom by Patra so much that I decided to give another book, by her, a try. I decided on The Burnt Bones.
First off, I love that I have tried two different genres by this author and really enjoyed both.
I love the setting in an ocean side town with the main murder happening on a boat. I really enjoyed the various suspects and how they all look guilty in some way. The main characters are fun as well.
I highly recommend this mystery to anyone who enjoys them.
Denise Black also does a wonderful job with the narration. She is clear in distinct with her voices.

I was debating whether to get this book or not. I decided I would give it a go. I am so glad I did!
I enjoyed the story, the characters, the plot, etc. I am not usually one for books with aliens, and dystopian novels are hit or miss for me. Many times I read them and feel hopeless which I don't always like. This book did not make me feel that way. Proably becuase of the sweet love story.
It does involve an instant love which I know some people do not like, but I don't mind that, as long as I feel it is founded.
Some of it (but not all) was predictable. I also, did not mind that. It was nice to just listen and enjoy instead of being worried I may miss something becuase of hard terms or a complex plot.
It is a book I will relisten to in the future. I also cannot wait for the sequel!!!
Shaina Summerville does a great job with the narration. Her voice and speed are perfect. I hope she will narrate future books in the series!
