Zoo vet Blane Winters' grumpy attitude and muscles hide a romantic heart. He only relaxes when he's around animals, since he likes them more than people. He has some friends, a good job, and a place of his own, and he's sure that's all he needs. Until he meets a certain incessantly cheerful artist.

This is another book that I’ve come to expect with E. Davies. The book is engaging, writing is clear and consice; this book has humor, heat and love and is a great read overall! I can’t wait for the rest of the series to come out in audiobook! Great read!!

“Careful there, Robbie.” My sweater obscured part of my sight, and my fogged-up glasses managed to take care of the rest of it, but I’d recognize that voice anywhere, even after eight long years. It was deeper now, a bit more gravelly, but it most definitely belonged to the guy I’d spent most of my early teenage years pining after. My first - and unrequited - love. “Troy?” I exclaimed, blinking my confusion as he helped pull my sweater the rest of the way off. Troy Jacobs' gorgeous lips twitched in amusement. “You remember me. Didn’t know if you would."

When Robbie comes home for Christmas, the last person he expects to see is his former step-cousin/first kiss, Troy. After their first kiss 8 years earlier, Troy and his father left Hawaii after his father divorced Robbie’s aunt. But now that he’s back in Hawaii, does he remember the kiss like Robbie does?

This short story is a perfect second-chance love story for anytime of the year! I absolutely love Troy & Robbie’s story and getting to hear these two narrated by Kenneth Obi just makes this story that much better!! Perfection!!!

When my old high school teammate invites me to stay on his family farm, it’s the solution to my financial woes. I never imagined it might also be the answer to my loneliness. Allen Hale Jr wasn’t the first number I tried for help. It’s been years since I’ve even thought of him. But he answered on the first ring, and hours later, we’re still talking like we’re 16 again, goofing off after the big game.

When Kyle moves to Hale Ranch after college for a job as a ranch hand, it is something he never pictured he would ever be doing! But after school, unable to find work and about to lose his apartment he was desperate. AJ has had a crush on Kyle since high school. So when he called answering the ad for help around the ranch, he quickly agreed. When Kyle gets there, AJ figures out it’s not just a high school crush, but he likes Kyle as the person he is now. The only problem is that AJ is deep in the closet.
This book was a good listen. When I read this book before, I found the beginning to be a little slow. The narrator made it much easier to get through the beginning of this book. Great performance! He is articulate enough it’s easy to understand yet gives the characters their own personality that comes through (even more so than the book it’s self).
All in all: good read/listen!

Strange things are happening all around Brinnswick. Things that remind me of a piece of my past I’d rather forget. Girls are being killed, drained of blood, and left with strange markings on their bodies. When I finally connect the cases together, a specialist is called in - though, what he’s a specialist of is beyond me. When the chief assigns him as my new partner for the case, I can’t help but groan on the inside. Why of all people would I be assigned to Ailin Ellwood?

Beautifully written with a intensive storyline that keeps your attention!

Ailin and Seb connect with each other and develop into soulmates. This is a great slow burn love story with magic and murder, action, witches/warlocks and many other magical creatures!! The story was wonderfully written with a in-depth world that continually brings more with each minute! The performance by Kenneth Obi was exactly what I come to expect with his works: it was absolutely wonderful!

I can’t wait to read more in this series and listen to additional work by Kenneth Obi!

They say time heals all wounds, but it's been five years since my boyfriend died, and I haven't dated since. I threw myself into architecture, and thankfully, there's just no time to wallow or look for love. My friends push me to get back out there, but I'm not ready to be vulnerable again. Then I meet Kev. He dresses like a catalog model, but he talks like he's got an old soul. He shows me what I'm missing but holds his own heart just out of reach. I can't stop falling for him, and he might be worth taking a risk for. Can I believe in myself enough to win his trust and his heart?

“Love is Vulnerable.” A perfect summary of this story! Charlie is an architect in New York. Charlie’s boyfriend passed away 5 years ago and he hasn’t had a relationship since. Kev was kicked out of his home at the age of 16. After moving to New York, he found a way to make ends meet, including trolling Grindr & local gay clubs to find men. The two meet and Charlie ends up paying Kev for his companionship. What Charlie doesn’t expect is to start to develop feelings for Kev.
This book is one that is out of my norm as I generally do not enjoy stories with “rent boys”. However, due to the way that Kev was written, a man who is just trying to stay safe and make his rent, I was able to look past that. I enjoyed the storyline, and the development of feelings between Charlie and Kev. It was nice to see Charlie going through some stages of grief still 5 years later.
It will be nice to see where he goes with the series! Great job!

And after Kyles charity is targeted by bigots, the two get even closer.

This book is another one that I come to associate with E. Davies. It is a romance, but with real world situations and problems that come up that make the story so much more relatable to the reader. The characters are well thought out and well developed throughout the entire book! It’s rare to see a trans MC in books, and E. captures him amazingly well! There’s some suspense that helps continue the story line along but it’s not so intense that you’re wringing your hands. All in all, this is an amazing read!

I received a copy of this book from the author for my honest review.
