Since time immemorial, humans have worshipped the gods they call Fhrey, truly a race apart: invincible in battle, masters of magic, and seemingly immortal. But when a god falls to a human blade, the balance of power between humans and those they thought were gods changes forever. Now only a few stand between humankind and annihilation: Raithe, reluctant to embrace his destiny as the God Killer. Suri, a young seer burdened by signs of impending doom. And Persephone, who must overcome personal tragedy to lead her people.

Great narrator, story and characters. Will keep you fulfilled to the very end! The characters feel as though they are from both a mythical world and from the real world. You have so much sympathy for some, and you grow to hate others. You feel a sense of joy for some and a sense of justice for those who are avenged. And as for me, I have a soft spot for a little mystic now that I've read this book :)

I absolutely love this story, but I hate the lead female! she is annoying b***** and bossy. she is more immature than her life experience, wood display of one who has traveled and one who has spent her life in a rigorous military-type training. I do not like the stereotypical female traits that the writer has chose to display through her it is very disgusting and annoying to me. great story development great development on the lead male great character development for the supporting characters. world and battle scenes are intriguing and engaging. love to hear the story unfold. again hate hate hate Mari and the dialogue between the lead male and female.
