When Ella wakes up in a hospital following a hit-and-run incident, she is scared and confused. Close to tears, her eyes fall on a get-well-soon card on the window sill, and the nurse reassures her that her loving husband will be back soon. But Ella has never been married. In fact, she has lived alone her whole adult life; working hard, rarely socializing, quietly harboring a terrible secret from her past.

Another 'unputdownable' story by Michael Robotham. I couldn't have imagined topping his previous best. He did. This story took an unexpected venue into Joe O'Loughlin's parents' past giving us yet another dimension to his character.

This is my first time delving into the world of fantasy. I loved it. From the first scene, ML Spencer's magic with the pen wove a story I quickly became part of and lived through the eyes and souls of her characters. Though it was a world built in fantasy, it was real. Life with its struggles was real -- from the sounds and smells of daily life to the beating hoofs carrying soldiers into war.
Spencer brilliantly deals with real-life conflicts may they be environmental or internal.
I'm hooked and so very much looking forward to reading the rest of Spencer's novel.

Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can't move. She can't speak. She can't open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn't remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from 20 years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

Michael Robotham's Suspect, hailed as "a lightning-paced debut" by Entertainment Weekly, was an international best seller that raised the bar for thrillers. Now two characters from that acclaimed novel, Detective Vincent Ruiz and psychologist Joe O'Loughlin, return for the electrifying Lost. When Detective Ruiz is pulled from the Thames, he has a bullet in his leg, a photograph of a missing (and presumed dead) girl in his pocket, and absolutely no memory of what happened.
