This book is about discovering together how to understand and live the Greatest Commandment. We're not after the "art of thinking about God a little differently". We're here to uncover the needs God created within us - needs for meaning, intimacy, honesty, humility, justice, compassion, and more - and how he designed us to find those needs fulfilled in him.

Children need love. Parents need respect. It is as simple and complex as that! When frustrated with an unresponsive child, a parent doesn't declare, "You don't love me." Instead the parent asserts, "You are being disrespectful right now." A parent needs to feel respected, especially during conflicts. When upset a child does not whine, "You don't respect me." Instead, a child pouts, "You don't love me." A child needs to feel loved, especially during disputes.

Many of us ache for relationship with God, yet feel distant and disconnected from him. As if he's more of an idea we believe in our head than a person we relate to. But God has a name: Yahweh. This one simple idea has the potential to radically alter how you relate to God, not as a doctrine, but as a relational being who responds to you in an elastic, back-and-forth way.

Wrestling with faith and doubt can be profoundly lonely and isolating. Some suffer in silence while others abandon belief altogether, assuming doubt is incompatible with faith. Dominic Done believes this is both tragic and deeply mistaken. In When Faith Fails, Done describes his own experience with faith and doubt, using Scripture, literature, and the lives of others who have doubted to argue that not only is questioning normal but it is often a path toward a rich and vibrant faith.

The book screams his personality which is refreshing he is the same person at church that he is in the book.

There is a simple answer to finding God's unique will for your life. When you obey the universal will of God, your obedience triggers your experience of the unique will of God for your life. Of course, that raises the question, "What is the universal will of God?" God has revealed four specific universal commands, or wills, and this audiobook is about each. Though there is more to God's universal will than these four, it is as though God declares, "Start here!"

I would recommend this book to anyone that has Faith or is new to having faith or does not have faith at all to get a better understanding of what true love is from our Lord and what we should share with others. a definite mustered. his analogy with a broken hand and they healed foot criticizing it made me really open my eyes to myself on how I treat others and judge others something that I work on every day.
