Kiara Jones thought that love would be the answer to all of her problems. She's never been in a successful relationship. If beauty and brains was all she needed, then why was she lonely. Here she was, a 27-year-old successful black woman with her own career, a house, and a car but no one to share it with. Men were constantly going in and out of her life with excuse after excuse.

I didn't get pass chapter 3! That narrator is horrible!! I mean she need to give narrating up! It's like she's trying to hard. Some parts sounds as though she is a hoidrat trying to sound proper and some parts sounds like she is the "proper " trying to sound hood but failing miserably. Then she tries to change her voice making it even worse. I can't even say if this was a good book or not be cause [there was no way I was going to listen to this narrator. REFUND! Not worth it at all!!

I'm a huge fan of hers! I was super excited when I seen one of her books on audible. This is a good book however three different endings had me like ehh.... no. That's the only bad thing in my opinion. But as usual IIKane did her thing! I'm hoping to see her growing broke series on here! That series is a must read.

There's a saying in Brooklyn that if you come from my part of town, you're from around the way. Well Lyric, Juicy, and Precious are all from around the way. They all live in Crown Heights, one of the most notorious sections of Brooklyn, but to them it's just a place they call home. Around the Way Girls 2 is a fast-paced look at the life of some street-smart women who think they know it all but are about to get the lessons of their lives.

That first story dragged on! I was waiting for the big bang in the first one but nothing happened. The second story had me in tears😢! It was a really good story but it was sad. I'm glad through the gloom she prevailed! And for that last one I'm just going to say "You see, you can't trust b@#$% or n@%#$"

Tamara Collins is poised to become the next great American actress. The only problem is that Hollywood doesn't know it yet. Since her bills aren't paying themselves though, Tamara decides to sign on to star in the new stage play, It Should've Been Me. Tamara wants to just get in, get out, and get paid, but her co-stars - including Donovan Dobbs, her ex that left her at the altar, and Camille Woods, a young starlet with a serious grudge - could make this the worst decision Tamara's ever made.

Disappointed is an understatement! I expected so much more from her! I can't say this book was completely horrible but it seemed to drag on! It didn't start to become interesting until the end and then it ENDED! Cliffhanger!!! Ugh! I don't know if I would consider getting book two because how this one proceeded NOT INTERESTED!! The narrator was okay!

It's funny because I would always say they needed to make this one an audio and here it is!! IIKANE did what she do beat and brought the book to life!! I love her as a narrator! This one is worth every penny! I'm hoping they put all three parts on here!!!

This isn't the worst book I've listened to but it could indeed be MUCH BETTER. The synopsis doesn't really fit the book well at least not the part about Michelle's career and dealing with the rich and shameless. When did she cater to the likes of basketball players and models? I'm confused. MICHELLE WASN'T MARRIED TO ANYONE! Her friend purposed at the end of the story. Either this is missing a few chapters, which I highly doubt, or the synopsis is false just to draw the reader in. Disappointed!!! Honey Jones is the only reason I finished this book. AN EXCELLENT NARRATOR
