I've waited years for my drop-dead sexy boss, Tristan Hunter, to notice me as something other than his right-hand gal. But though his dog is deeply in love with me, Tristan and I seem doomed to the friend zone. Until the night we kiss... It's all a ruse, of course - our make-out session is for the benefit of the two heartbreakers who dumped us - but very real sparks fly when his lips meet mine. At least...they're real for me.

Shea Little has spent her life listening to her family's desires. She went to the best schools, participated in the most proper of social events, and almost married the man her family wanted for her. When she ran from that and found a job she actually likes, she thought she'd rebelled enough. Now though, she wants one more thing--only Shepard stands in the way. She'll not only have to let him learn more about her in order to get inked, but find out what it means to be truly free.

There was not enough build up to get me engaged with the main characters. The narrator did a great job with what he had to work with. I started reading book 1 in this series at the same time as listening to this prequel and have not been impressed. I can only hope book 2 get better since I apparently own that one as well.

There are a million reasons why Miles Hart isn't the man I should date but allow me to enumerate the top three: He's friends with my brother; he's a single dad; and he's a sexy, in-demand rock star. He might as well wear an off-limits, totally unavailable, and don't-even-attempt-to-ride-this-ride sign. And there's one more little itty-bitty thing - he's never asked me on a date. That is, until he asks me to be his plus-one when his band plays at his high school reunion. It shouldn't be a big deal. After all, we're just friends, and no one is giving us our own hashtag. Except me....

I had this one on my wish list for quite sometime until a sale came up. I was on the fence as to whether I really wanted to listen to it or not. Now that I have I think I could have lived the rest of my life not completing the series. The author drug Jake’s story out too long and it really didn’t need a second book to tell us almost daily narrative about their first year of marriage. That said, there was some funny conversations that made me laugh out loud. But overall it was just one of those old multi-book stories that we all came to hate about the same characters.

Célian Laurent. Manhattan royalty. Notorious playboy. Heir to a media empire...and my new boss. I could have impressed him, if not for last month's unforgettable one-night stand. I left it with more than orgasms and a pleasant memory - namely, his wallet. Now he's staring me down like I'm the dirt under his Italian loafers, and I'm supposed to take it. But the thing about being Judith "Jude" Humphry is I have nothing to lose. Brooklyn girl. Infamously quirky. Heir to a stack of medical bills and a tattered couch.

If you are into stories where the guy is an abrasive demeaning jerk for most of the story, this is for you. Well, he did have that hidden soft part inside that’s slowly revealed. But the sexy parts weren’t so sexy with the abrasive way he treated the girl in my opinion. Of course everything works out in the end which is why I love romance novels.

I'm a lot of things - a screwup, a basket case, a flunky. But when I take a nanny job to be near my pregnant sister, I swear to myself I'll walk the straight and narrow, which means I cannot fall for my insanely hot boss. I don't want to be tempted by that rugged rancher. By his chiseled muscles or southern charm or the way he snuggles his kids at bedtime. Ethan Carter won't get the key to my heart, no matter how much I want him.

I bought this during a sale and needed an extra book. It’s turned out to be a decent find. The narration by Stephen Dexter was great. Actual laughing when the story called for it and really getting into the emotion of ahem...everything (fans self, is it hot in here?). The story was good enough that I was able to eventually stop hearing the hard guh sound at the end of words such has hang, pronounced “hanguh” by Ms Peachwood who has a lovely southern voice.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old.” Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true. The name embossed on the blue stationery: Reed Eastwood, obviously the most romantic man who ever lived. I also discovered he’s the most gorgeous. If only my true-love fantasies had stopped there.

Picture this - I’m ready to win back the love of my life, and I’m going big this time. We’re talking boom box, sing her name in the rain, let the whole damn neighborhood know I'm good and ready this time around. After all, if you're going to grand gesture the ever-loving hell out of a second chance, you need to pull out all the stops. There’s only one little problem. My college girlfriend isn't the one who shows up when I play my "I'll do anything to win you back" tune. The woman who flings open the second-floor window tells me my ex doesn’t live here anymore.

Once upon a time, there was a very happy couple who had wild, hot, passionate, seductive nights every day and every night. But that's not all they had between them. They had love, and trust, and respect. He adored her and treated her like a queen. She was so very good to him and made his life complete. Their sexy marriage was the stuff dirty fairytales were made of. But there was one thing they didn't have. One thing they both secretly wanted. One thing better than pearls.

How do you know a story has too many sex scenes? When you become bored and only half listen. I just finished this series and the only reason I listened to the whole thing is because a) Lauren Blakely and b) it’s part of the Romance package. I would never have spent credits past the first listen on this series because it’s more sex than story which can become boring.
