I hadn't read a Patterson book for some time, but this story sounded interesting so I thought I'd give it a try. Extremely glad I did. Excellent story, good characters, and Audible-wise, the narrator Edoardo Ballerini - I'd heard him before - did a fantastic job with all the characters and really brought this story alive and then some! You will not be disappointed with this one.

A goddess returned, a war between primal powers, and a prophecy to fulfill. That's a lot of crap to heap on anyone's plate, much less a former game programmer from Brooklyn. But that's exactly what Bill Ryder - gamer, geek, and legendary vampire - has to deal with.

As several reviews have mentioned, I, too, find myself sad that it’s supposedly over, but what a crazy wild ride it has been. Bill the Vampire was a novel I picked up as a “filler”, as is said, in between more ‘serious’ books. Five novels later in the Tome of Bill, I was totally a part of the Bill and Sally insanely snarky partnership (and yes, Gan, too) and their constant battles against one evil force after another. For each story I purchased both the Kindle version and the Audiobook version--many times, listening to Chris and his absolute spot on representations of characters while reading. It doesn’t get any better than that! It’ll be a while before believing the wild ride is over, which we all hope it is not, but in the meantime, thanks, Rick, for the adventure. It was fantastic!

If you're loud and proud Floridian Serge A. Storms, how do you follow up your very own remake of Easy Rider? You shoot your own "episodes" of your favorite classic television show, Route 66! With Coleman riding shotgun, Serge is rolling down the highway of his dreams in a vintage silver convertible Corvette, just like the snazzy car Martin Milner drove. It doesn't matter that the actual Route 66 didn't pass through Florida, for Serge discovers that a dozen episodes near the series' end were filmed (really!) in his beloved home state.
