You know, sometimes it would be nice to catch a break. Devon, a professional gamer, has a settlement to grow into a city, a character she'd love to focus on leveling, and some kitchen cabinets that really need restocking. Unfortunately, the fate of the Relic Online game world is at stake, torn asunder by battling creator AIs. Demons rise through planar rifts, rampaging across the physical realm. The ancient city of Ishildar holds power that might turn the tide. If only Devon, the brave heroine chosen as the city's champion, could finish her epic quest line to gain control of the place.

So...
Good book.
Well written, and good continuity of the series.
Sadly a bit short with only like 10 hours, but still worth the buy to keep a good series going.

Summers has a good concept and a well done story, with a decent mix of her MC’s irl interactions.

Ellicott, and Hays did an admirable job on the performance as I’ve become accustomed to.

Story: Good

As I said my only gripe is the length.

Written well.
Performed as usual, greatly done.

Length v price is my only downside.

Well, I enjoyed this installment.
Well written, and Gilbert did as good a job as usual.

I had doubts about this book, and put off getting it as it kind of seemed like a backslide of Emily’s story, however, while I hope to get away from the goody two shoes Emily, and on to the powerhouse version Void would make her, I do have to say the book was good and didn’t disappoint.

And well, now that was an ending. A cliffhanger of massive proportions maybe a bit, but well, yeah, kind of made the thing worth it.

I also agree with Nuttall’s apparent want to darken Emily more slowly, like how she has used forbidden magic’s, because she “had to”, and is becoming someone who understands the need to kill, even while fighting for her inner idealism to remain.

I’ll have to wait a while for the next book, but I’m looking forward to it.

That’s a good book!

Man that story killed me.
I am in such a longing state for another installment that I kinda freaked out a bit when I realized it’s not out yet.

Lol, but as sad as that is, man I have to give props on this story.

Bagwell has seriously written an awesome book series. I hope he continues this series as strongly as he has been going.

Stifel, had a great performance, outside the story itself, he pulled me in.

Keep up the great work!

Jason logs into Awaken Online fed-up with reality. He's in desperate need of an escape, and this game is his ticket to finally feeling the type of power and freedom that are so sorely lacking in his real life. Awaken Online is a brand new virtual reality game that just hit the market, promising an unprecedented level of immersion. Yet Jason quickly finds himself pushed down a path he didn't expect. In this game, he isn't the hero. There are no damsels to save. There are no bad guys to vanquish.

For eons, conquering dungeons has been the most efficient way to become a strong adventurer. Although not everything is as straightforward as it seems. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? Where do the amazing weaponry and heavy gold coins come from? Why does the very air fill with life-giving energies? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions, for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Heart.

A great book.
I had a ton of fun listening to this story.
I loved the interaction between MC and his friend, as well as the secondary MC which I had not expected, but which gave the story a better point of view from the MC (dungeon) side.

Adam did good with the narrative and to me nowadays what with less time and more listening than reading, that means a lot.

Morgan used to be a pretty normal guy. He went to college by day and played online games by night, leading his guild into new conquests - until he got hit by a car and a dude wearing a wet suit appeared in front of him. The man offered him a new chance at life in a world he had created, a world with similar rules to the games Morgan loved to play. There is the promise of great rewards and power, he says, if Morgan manages to complete the Tower of Power.

Truly a good story.
I found the “game mechanics” a bit lacking, but not that it took away from the story, but actually reinforced the “game” world.

I liked how most of the stuff played out, but I did find the MC to be a bit of a dullard here and there.
(How do you not use one side of your abilities except to do one measly thing.)
(I had a thousand ideas running through my head, and was just waiting for him to do one of them and realize he’s capable of being OP, but NO....)

Overall though, even with my want to critique the MC, the book was a true 5 star start to a series, and I hope it continues as good or better.
