You have the right to remain sexy. Anything you say can and will be used to get you in my bed. You have the right to use my body to give yourself a delirious, life-changing orgasm. If you have trouble...don't worry, I'm a bit of an expert in that department.

Perfect mix of romance and want. Heroine is sometimes portrayed too weakly, but characters are still enjoyable; narration is believable with romance worthy voices. Definitely work the credit!

I tend to listen to dual narrations, however this one is amazing. The 'males' are a bit forced, but the story is amazing. The lead female is strong, smart, and hilariously snarky. I will be looking doesn't more listens from this author.

Dirty rich one night stand. That's all it was supposed to be. He's the powerful attorney, now world-renowned after coming off the trial of a century which was publicized across the country. And I'm one of the reporters that sat in his courtroom. I watched him, studied him, got to know him from afar which isn't hard since I know his exact brand of confidence, arrogance, and wealth. I know his type. I've dated his type. Which is why when I happen to come face to face with him, when sparks fly and heat simmers between us, I know what happens if I say yes to Reese Summer.

The story and character are wonderful. Strong and determined while remaining mostly realistic. The female narrator is enjoyable, albeit slightly dramatic. The male narration of characters definitely leaves something to be desired. As disappointing as this is, it's made worse by the great male character POV narration; it's just his dialogue that has an odd lack of something, and an awkward higher pitch ending to it. Luckily it is easy to get caught up in the story, so the narration becomes secondary.

A different take on a romance. Good character development allows you to become invested in not just the ending, but the steps along the way. Sets up very well for stand-alone sequels. This is the first book I've listened to by this author, and I will gladly try another.

Originally published in six volumes, which sold more than one million copies, Carl Sandburg’s Abraham Lincoln was praised as the most noteworthy historical biography of Sandburg’s generation. He later distilled this monumental work into one volume that critics and readers alike consider his greatest work of nonfiction, as well as the most distinguished, authoritative biography of Lincoln ever published.

Growing up in an Illinois prairie town, Sandburg listened to stories of old-timers who had known Lincoln. By the time this single-volume edition was competed, he had spent a lifetime studying, researching, and writing about our 16th president.
