In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child - not powerful, like her father, nor viciously alluring, like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers that she does possess power - the power of witchcraft, which can transform rivals into monsters and menace the gods themselves.

I chose this book because it was on a "must read" list by Audible Editor. I don't much about the ancient gods/goddesses but was fascinated by the story. I think next time I will do a quick study on the stories behind specific gods before I read another, the author gave a suitable explanation for main characters, I just found myself wanting more. I enjoyed the book and the narrator was great!

This was very enlightening and made me feel not so alone in my issues. Very well written and kept my attention. I wish there were more books for lesbian relationships. I'm hoping my partner will read this and we can get on the same page. Either way, I feel better for reading her book and feel inspired to make changes in myself.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story of love and friendship. The mystery behind Catherine and Annie's love affair was especially exciting! I would love to read a "prequel" about Annie.
