I never actually read the book, I only saw movie adaptations. This was really fun to listen to.
I laughed so hard I snorted when Tim Curry narrated Fred's laugh.
I listened to it all day making Christmas cookies. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys this story.

Most of it was delightful but Guards Guards was unfortunate. I understand having to change some things to make it work for radio but it didn't work for Guards Guards and Carrot was all wrong I feel.

In Wyrd Sisters, the enchanting world of Discworld is turned upside down by 3 meddling witches: Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, and Magrat Garlick. Their interference in royal politics causes kingdoms to wobble, crowns to topple, knives to flash, and citizens to shudder in fear. Terry Pratchett's vividly imaginative story takes you on a journey with hunchbacked monarchs, lost crowns, disguised heirs, refueling broomsticks, and frightening thunderstorms, as the three sisters battle the odds to restore the rightful king to the throne.

It was a struggle to get through on account of the narration. I feel like a lot of things were delivered differently than they were meant to be and the narrator struggled performing for so many different male characters. I read the reviews before purchasing and so it's not like it was a big surprise but I'm running out of discworld books to listen to all I gave it a shot. I missed much of the story because my mind would wander. I couldn't focus on account of the delivery being too quiet and frequently droll. Also this has to be listened to with headphones on because unless the speakers are right next to you ears it's hard to make out what she's saying. I'm going to try for a refund because even though I made it to the end, there are huge gaps of the story because of my mind wandering and I didn't want to have go back to listen. The experience was not very enjoyable.

Jack has caused an earthquake. He was trying to save his sister, Lucy, from being thrown down a well, but he is, after all, only a 13-year-old bard in training. Sometimes the magic doesn't quite work out. Not only does Jack demolish a monastery, but Lucy is carried off by the Lady of the Lake. Jack has to follow her through the Hollow Road that lies underground. It leads to all sorts of unexpected places: caves full of dragon poop, knucker holes (you do not want to know what knuckers are), and Elfland.

I really loved the story but there was a part that was cut out. it was cut off mid sentence and the story jumped ahead. not too much by what I gather but enough for it to have disapointed. I still recommend it though to anyone who liked the first book.
