Did you know geeky humans squeak when squeezed? Totally awesome. Adi thinks there are plenty of things that are awesome, such as gravy and cheese on fries, motorcycles that growl, oh, and the fact that she is a wicked dragon with a freakishly cool power. But do you know what's more awesome than all that? A certain geeky fellow in charge of the IT department for a medical lab situated in small-town hell. There is nothing small about Dexter, though.

I have to say that Addie is one of my favorite characters. She's hilarious, intelligent, audacious, and takes crap from no one. I justed loved her character. I thought this was one of Eve Langlais's better stories. I fully recommend it to romance fans everywhere.

She owes the Family money. Big money. And I'm the guy they sent to put the squeeze on her. So now she's playing at my casino. Strutting around on my stage in her tight little shorts. Killing me softly. I promised she'll be treated with respect, so long as she does as she's told. But I didn't count on her barging in my office and tempting me, begging for a taste of my authority. I didn't count on her getting under my skin. And the last thing I want is to see her debt paid. Because then I'd have to set her free...

Had trouble getting into this one. I did finish it, but I listened to 2 other audiobooks in the course of listening to this one. Just couldn't hold my interest for long. Honestly, the only reason I finished this one, is that I hate to not finish a book once I start it. A book has to be pretty awful for me not to finish it. This one wasn't that bad. It was just kind of boring, despite its attempts to be kinky.

I'm assuming the purpose of this book was to set up a new series. I haven't read any of the other books in this series, so I can't tell you how necessary or relevant this books is. This book did the job of making me want to know more about what happens to these characters. I'm planning to read at least the next book in the series. This book, though, was a bit rushed. A lot happened in a very short amount of time. There was a lot of story and information that was stuffed in to a very short book. As a result, the story suffered a bit. This tale revolves around 3 people who love each other very much. At least that is what we, as the audiance, are told. That is one of my main issues with this book. We are told how much they love each other. We aren't shown how much they love each other. There isn't enough time, the book was too short. I'm hoping that in longer books going forward that won't be a problem. I like being shown how characters feel and experiencing things with them. There really wasn't enough time to grow to care about these characters and become invested in there lives. I hope that changes. Still, I'm curious enough to want to know more and see where they go from here. Crossing my fingers for the next book.

I have very mixed feelings regarding this audiobook. I liked the story and characters. I would probably recommend people read the book. It was a nice mix of sci-fi, fantasy and paranormal romance. It was an interesting new world and a fairly new story. It had enough unique elements to it to make it stand out from so many other romance books I've read.

The problem with this audiobook is the quality. I wasn't very impressed with this narrator and he unfortunately also narrates the sequel. He mostly just read the book. There was very little inflection in his voice or differentiation between characters. This audiobook was also horribly edited. There were several lines that repeated 2 or 3 times. This did seem to improve as the book went on. The narrator also mispronounced several words, which was annoying. There were several times when the wrong word was obviously used. I don't know if that was the fault of the narrator or the author. A thorough re-editing of this audiobook would greatly improve it. All-in-all, I liked this audiobook and will read more by this author. I would recommend this story to other romance lovers, but if obvious editing mistakes annoy you read the book.

My orders are simple. Capture her. Marry her. Take her inheritance. Get rid of her. The bookish little recluse is worth more than she knows. She’s an unassuming librarian. I’m the brigadier of the Russian Bratva. She has no friends. I command a small army. She’s a modest woman. And now she’s mine.

I have mixed feelings about recommending this book. This is probably considered a dark romance, but I found it to be fairly tame. Definitely for the more kinky among us. It has elements of BDSM and descriptions of other mild violence. I enjoyed listening to the narrator and would listen to another audiobook performed by him. I thought he did a decent job with the accents of the Russian characters. I'm assuming that he acted out the book exactly as it was written. If this is the case, then the source material was badly in need of a good editor. There were several grammatical errors that made this book hard for me to listen to at times. The author needs help with her sentence structure in a bad way. I've heard a lot worse and this audiobook was certainly not unlistenable. I just thought I should mention it because I know some listeners are more sensitive to grammar errors than others. I did find Jane Henry's particular grammatical quirk and repetitive language unique to her. It's not a problem I've run across before, as so far as I can remember. I'm really not sure how to describe it, so I'll do my best to give an example similar to the type of sentence I found repeatedly throughout the book. My best example, not a quote from the book: She furiously said, "Get your hands off me", in a furious tone. Not an egregious error, but enough to lessen my enjoyment of her work, especially since it wasn't just a one time thing.

This was my first listen by this author. I saw an advertisement for this book and the fact that it was available through Audible's Romance Package before you could buy the book. So I thought I'd give it a try. I'm sure glad I did. I found this to be an entertaining listen. There were some moments that were cliche and predictable, but that did not stop me from enjoying the overall story. I found it hard to stop listening at times. I would definitely give this author another try in the future. I wish more of her books were available on the Romance Package.

Another great addition to the series. A must read for Renee Rose & Lee Savino fans. I found this one a little harder to get into in the beginning for some reason. I can't really articulate why. I can't pinpoint a specific aspect of the start of the story that I didn't immediately find engrossing. Once I got into it though, I could hardly stop listening. As another edition to Renee Rose's Mafia romance series, this audiobook does not disappoint. This story involves a romance between Nico's younger brother Stefano and Sondra's cousin Corey, who me met in the first book of the series. Sparks fly from the getgo and they're off at a fast pace which never slows down. Can I just say that their love scenes are hot, Hot, HOT!! Their relationship is going great until family drama interferes and things start to fall apart. If you want to know if everything gets resolved between Stefano and Corey, you'll have to listen to the audiobook. I would recommend this book to all the fans of the great Renee Rose.
