I have read every Joe Pickett book and I was excited to listen to this latest version. 18 Chapters in I just couldn't listen to anymore. Like I said I've listen to all these books. I know there is always going to be some violent scenes, but this book just seems to go to far. The graphic description of the violence is the story. Maybe it's me and with all the violence going on in the world this violent novel was just too much to take in. The writing and characters are excellent but be prepared to listen through a pretty dark story.

As for many the Princess Bride is a family favorite. We all know the famous lines and quote them to each other. The book is wonderful tale about the making of the movie, and this tale explains why the movie is as magical as it is. I recommend it to any fan of the movie.

I'm sure this book doesn't need another rave review but her goes anyway. So beautifully written and lovingly narrated. A fascinating look into the world of the white house and the campaign road a family must take - drew me in. The inspiring tale of a girl from the south side to the white house is a must read for all young women.

This book was a very pleasant surprise. The writing is like a poem yet flowed like a narrative. The complex relationships between mothers and daughters is so beautifully described here. The author's narrative was perfect. I highly recommend this read to all, but young adults will appreciate the coming of age story and the struggle to find your voice journey X takes. Had me searching for the local poetry slam.

I love well written dialogue- and badly written cliche-filled dialogue makes me cringe- I listened to the first 30 minutes and shut it off. Disappointed since I was hoping the first book was good and I could get the second as well.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes - it was very well written, great original story, funny bits, and great descriptions of things and scenes!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Margo - she is so obviously lost like most of us and yet she plugs away at life as we all must.

What does Sue Pitkin and Tessa Marts bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have written my own novel and self-published so I know how intoxicating that hold the book you wrote in your hand feels. I think Jane Lotter would've very much enjoyed listening to her book read.

Any additional comments?

I really wasn't expecting the book to be so well done and so entertaining. It was a joy to listen to too. I highly recommend it.

Nothing original going on here - kept hoping it would get interesting or the main character would be some one I could root for but it just got worse- disappointed to say the least
