Blackmoon Bay is a city of monsters. Surviving here means never leaving home without a sharp stake. It means keeping secrets, even from friends. And unless I want the Hunters finding me again, it means my witchcraft stays on permanent lockdown. Good policy - until the night I accidentally resurrect a dead girl, rekindling my magic and drawing the Bay's most dangerous men to my doorstep. I'm Gray Desario. Witch. Survivor. Occasional bringer of chaos. And tonight? The darkness is coming.

the female narrator was good. The male narrator was horrible. Darius was support to be British.. and I think the character was more high British he didnt pull it of.

The lead character was way too whiny. She went over the same things perhaps to fill the needed word count. This one was a complete dud

Two masters of epic fantasy have combined in this brilliant collaboration to create a rousing tale. This is the story of Shana, a half-breed born of the forbidden union of an Elvenlord father with a human mother. Her exiled mother dead, Shana was rescued and raised by dragons, a proud, ancient race who existed unbeknownst to elven or human kind. From birth, Shana was the embodiment of the Prophecy that the all-powerful Elvenlords feared. Her destiny is the enthralling adventure of a lifetime.

this book has the ability to be great but that's just the storythru. characters and defined nicely.
The book was just really slow. And why exactly did they HAVE to travel thru time? It's the paroxmdox concept that was never really explained. This isn't a favorite book.

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

This has really one of the hardest listens. There was too much whining, too many of things throw in to impress the reader about 80s pop culture. The fact telling on the author's pedestal really put the story in the back. The story should be first and facts supplementary. I'm not impress with authors story telling/story scapes.

I understand why you used Wil Wheaton. I strongly feel the author has an unnatural fan fetish about him. I didn't care that there was a glorified long section about Mr Wheaton. Seriously the author should stop drooling over the actor. Stop stalking him. shudder.

Willa has never been a particularly useful dweller: she isn’t very good at chores, she isn’t very good at worshiping, she isn’t very good at not having opinions, and she isn’t very good with rules - but none of that matters anymore. The rules are changing. The dwellers are trying to make their own way in the world, and Willa can’t seem to help getting tangled up in their plans. Luckily, she has the Abcurse brothers to help her out - until she doesn’t, and suddenly she’s alone again in a world on the brink of chaos.

I would just like you all to listen. I don't usually like YA romance-esque.... this is more a soild coming of age strong female lead.

But the spirits that reside within this land want to rid it of all humans. One woman stands between these malevolent spirits and the end of humankind: the queen. She alone has the magical power to prevent the spirits from destroying every man, woman, and child. I enjoy this narrator. She has a very bright voice. The story is different tho. I have a difficult time trying to figure out how the lead character is so passive. I hope in other books she is valued. No one can, who has saved the world over and over again, blindly sit back and let ppl be disrespectful regardless of she is mortal. The hubris of fae like creatures and dragons shouldn't be so stupid as to not see others worth. Instead of being rude they should be thankful they have her for a short while. No one will save them when she is gone
