This was my first time reading a Faith Gibson book. I enjoyed the storyline but the narration wasn’t great. Mace’s voice was good as the voice of male characters (although he seemed to falter some when creating voices to differentiate between the male characters) but detracted from the story when attempting any of the female characters. The struggle with the voices made it difficult to enjoy the audiobook. A dual narration would probably benefit the audiobook better. With that being said, the story encourages you to follow your heart to obtain happiness. The story suggests that sometimes overthinking things will lead you to self destruction.

Paul C.R. Monk did a great job with the Merchants of Virtue: A Historical Fiction Novel. This story of the atrocities families endured to be able to practice their religious preference was vividly told in a way that allowed one to empathize with their situation. The endurance of the mistreatments suffered by those who refused to abjure truly demonstrates trust and faith in the Lord. David Pickering did a fantastic job of narrating and really brought the story to life.

I have mixed emotions about this story. First, this isn’t really a true military romance. There were just too many inconsistencies throughout the storyline that proved it. For instance, at one point in the story Gabe states that because he was in the military that the method of choice to kill someone would be to shoot them instead of some other form of killing them. Secondly, there were too many flashbacks that alluded to PTSD one moment then he was totally fine and well adjusted the next. Thirdly, drinking in order to go sleep wouldn’t alleviate the recurrence of dreams he had as a result his traumatic experiences. Furthermore Autuum was extremely gullible. She was a pushover and never questioned things that a normal person would automatically question. Also, just because the men were once in the military doesn’t make it a military romance. So I had a hard time accepting the plot of the story. The narrators were okay but monotonous at times.

This was my first audiobook by Sarah Noffke and the storyline itself wasn’t bad. However, even though it’s a PNR there should be more plausible character development. There seemed to be a lot of name calling, grumpiness, superiority complexes and implausible scenarios. Paranormal characters are usually stronger and quicker with movement and mentality! Therefore it wasn’t very feasible of the actions of the characters. The narrator’s voice was too young and therefore didn’t give the story the depth it needed.

Of course, I noticed Mr. Shirtless. With a bod like his, who wouldn’t? But his hot-factor didn’t matter. What did? My asshat ex and the need to make him jealous. So, I strolled up to the panty-melting stranger as though I knew him and laid one on him, hoping said asshat would see I’d moved on just fine without him. Only, he never saw me kissing another man.

The storyline was a great reminder that after something bad, good things do happen to good people ❣️This was a fun, light hearted read. The narrators were okay.

This was the first book I read by KB Winters and I don’t quite know how to feel about it! First, Lasso the male lead in the story wasn’t portrayed as very masculine considering he was former military and scared all the time. Secondly, Rocky the female lead was shown to be more ballsy than the man she’s seeking protection from. The narrators were okay but took a little time warming up to as the storyline progressed. The plot didn’t make much sense because of the reason Rocky’s ex was searching for her. There were too many inconsistencies for me.

JARED - If I had a dollar for every time Banner Morales made my heart skip a beat...The heart everyone assumes is frozen over. Her anger is...arousing. Every glare from those fire-spitting eyes, every time she grits her teeth, gets me...well, you know. If I had a dollar for every time she's put me in my place, I'd be an even richer man. I'm a successful sports agent because I assume "no" means you'll think about it. I'm sure what you meant to say is, "Coming right up." They say even rich men don't always get what they want, but those men don't know how to play the game.

There was definitely strong morals and unfailing decisiveness needed to come out on the winning end of this romance. Loved it! Teddy Hamilton and Seraphina Valentine did an excellent job of narrating ❣️This was definitely a must read! So, so worth it ❣️

City is chivalrous, masculine and honest! The heart of their relationship works because of the truth that they share with each other. Both narrators were good but I have different voices in my for each character. I love this audiobook!
