I liked this series, but this final book was a bit disappointing in a number of respects. This is a teen book, but as an adult reader, I found the chatter between Ali and her friends to be rather annoying in this book. At times, it was hard to listen to because it was so over the top and sterotypical "gril talk."

Ali and Cole have put off having sex because Ali is underage. A hard topic, but the way Showalter handled it was not very smooth.

The ending was rather odd as well. It went from Zombie slayers to something very different.

Bottom line - I had to read the final book in the series, but it was rather disappointing.

I really love this series, but I think Kresely Cole spent too much time on Evie's love triangle in this book. In one chapter, she is all about Jack; in the next, she is all about Death. I understand why Cole wanted to dig into Jack's and Death's past/personalities becuase it makes you understand why Evie has such a hard choice, but it was just too much of the book. The other teen characters who comprise the Arcana make this series so interesting, so I hope in the next book she brings those characters more into play again. We saw hints of some great story llines to come, so I'm still a huge fan of the series. Once again, the book ended with another huge cliffhanger, so I can't wait for the next book.

This book is absolutely the best in the Demonica Series. Larissa Ione is just brillant and this book contains it all - passion, emotion, intrigue and a totally "wow" ending. I recommend that you read the prior books in the Demonica series before you read Revenant because it will reallly add to your enjoyment.

Revenant is a fallen angel who is a real hot, bad-ass. He works for Satan, but he not evil - hard to believe at first, but Ione did a great job building his character and making you really like him. Revenant discovers that his twin brother Reaver is one of the highest ranking angles in Heaven. Life gets real interesting for Revenant as he works to find out why he was kept in Hell while his twin brother was sent to Heaven.

Blaspheme is a doctor with a big secret. She is hiding from both angles and fallen angels - all of whom want to kill her. The interaction between Blaspheme and Revenant is fabulous and super hot. I loved how Ione pulled into the story characters from her piror books. I could not stop listening!

Kresley Cole is one of the best writers in the business, and this book totally showcases her incredible talent. This is the second book in the series (Poison Princess was the first), and it was an amazing sequel. I thought book 1 was excellent, but book 2 blew me away! This book is a fast-paced and thrilling adventure, with twists and turns in the plot that were totally unpredictable. I could not stop listening. This book is pure genius.

We meet new Arcana in this adventure, and the players start making alliances. The character development is amazing. The story is a bit dark, but so fascinating and exciting. The passion and tension between Evie and Jack, and then Evie and Death…. WOW. We discover the history of Evie and Death…. that is all I can say without spoiling it. I can’t say enough good things about this book, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series! The ending leaves you begging for more!

Emma Galvin is an excellent narrator!

I caution parents of “young adults” as I really don’t think this book is appropriate for those under age 16 due to some steamy sex scenes. This book was less explicit than Kresley Cole’s IAD series, but still smoking hot.

Book 5 is a follow-up to Dragos' and Pia's story from Book 1. To get the full benefit of the story, you should first read the other 4 books in the series. This series is excellent, and I'll buy anything Thea Harrison writes! The same narrator, Sophie Eastlake, read all 5 books in the series, and she is excellent. All 5 books in this series rock - all are interesting, unique and HOT!

Dragos, a dragon, is one of the best male leads I've seen in years! He is hot, a total bad-ass and not afraid to show, and tell, Pia how he feels about her. I love how Thea brings the baby (Liam) into the mix - his story will come someday, and I can't wait! In this story, Thea introduces two new Wyr sentinals, one of which is Pia's friend Quentin from Book 1, who will mate in Book 6 with Aryal, a Harpy sentinal. This book was great because it closed the loop on some open issues in prior books, and it set the framework for future books. Thea Harrison is now one of my favorite authors!

This is book 4 in the series and it is great, but you should read the first 3 books in the series before you read this one. The story was so much better knowing the background of the characters. Thea Harrison does a great job linking her stories and the characters, so I'm hooked on this series! Thea also makes each male lead character in the series hot, interesting and unique. You will never feel bored or that the story line is "cookie cutter."

In this book, Khalil, a Demonkind Gin, and Grace, the Oracle, are both really good, kind, strong and interesting characters. The passion was hot! The book has some twists, and the ending is not what I expected (which was great). Thea leaves the story a bit open-ended, so we will see these characters again in another story. I can't wait to read the next book!

The narrator, Sophie Eastlake, is awesome!

The story in this book was just average and a bit boring at times. Boune lost his family estate in a poker game, and he blamed everyone but himsel for acting a fool. Years later, Penelope's father won the estate from the man who took it from Bourne, and he made the estate part of Penelope's dowery to encourage a man to marry her (she was older and turning into a "spinster"). Bourne marries Penelope to get the estate back through marriage. Bourne and Penelope were childhood friends, but you would never know it, because Bourne was such a jerk to Penelope. While the story had passion, both Bourne and Penelope had unrealistic expectations and acted a bit immature. Unless you love this author, I'd pass. On the positive side, the narrator was great.
