Five years ago Corin Cadence's brother entered the Serpent Spire - a colossal tower with ever-shifting rooms, traps, and monsters. Those who survive the spire's trials return home with an attunement: a mark granting the bearer magical powers. According to legend, those few who reach the top of the tower will be granted a boon by the spire's goddess. He never returned. Now it's Corin's turn. He's headed to the top floor, on a mission to meet the goddess.

im about three quarters of the way threw this listen. and its going really slow and getting anoying. performance is a little dry but not bad overall. it's the story I just don't like.
The male characters were sexist and females are stereotyped. the narrator actually gave a warning before the performance seeming to explain that this was a story of it's time and how this book was received through the years. if this was the first Heinlein book I'd heard I would not have picked up another. Luckily I already like some of his other novels like door into summer, citizen of the galaxy and the sixth column.

She won't rest until she's sent every walking corpse back to its grave. Forever. Had anyone told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that's all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone. Her father was right. The monsters are real.

most of the story went slowly and had a ton of teenage angst. I liked the story's premise, plot and characters tho. I especially like the scene when Alice's sister unexpectedly appeared and like that I can expect little sis to be a regularly occuring character. Narration is especially important to me and Natalie Gold was easy to listen to.

Charm is the key to the world. Charisma, magnetism, sex appeal - that "it" factor that can't be described. Nolan Delaney has it is spades. The infamous Mr. Romantic. And maybe he is out of my league, but I'm going to give it the old college try anyway. Because I didn't travel 2,000 miles for a job interview at his request just to be put out like trash. Don't underestimate me, Mr. Delaney. I'm really not as innocent as I look.

Fall for a woman over text messages? No way in hell. Reality can never be as good at the fantasy, right? Wrong. It's better. Banner Regent is smart, funny, and so far out of my league she might as well be royalty. I'm a mechanic from Kentucky. She's a New York City party girl. We were never supposed to meet, but one text started something neither of us saw coming. How do you seduce the woman who already has everything? Show her what it's like to be with a real good man.

Would you try another book from Meghan March and/or Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York ?

performance was perfect, can't ask for better

Has Real Good Man turned you off from other books in this genre?

I still love romance novels that'll never change

What does Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Nothing really, i found myself having to fast foreward through the novel too much. I do this a lot with romances but this one got tedious with so many sexy scenes and so little substance. This happens sometimes and I'm only ok with it if the story is so good it's worth bother

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

nope

Any additional comments?

there was a pretty big cliffhanger. The novels good points: performance, unique storyline and I liked the unique heroine
