Alister Kingsley is an eccentric, London artist who is famous for his surreal, fanciful paintings set in a land that only exists in his imagination: Wonderland. Alister’s ‘dream girl’ Madeline Hatter wasn’t supposed to be real. But when the White Rabbit shows up at his art expo, and leads him down the rabbit hole Alister comes face-to-face with the Mad Hatter herself when she rescues him from getting barbequed by the King of Heart’s pet: the Jabberwocky. As it turns out, Madeline got herself into a pickle, and needs Alister’s help.

I thoroughly enjoy this twist on Alice in Wonderland. To me it's fun to see how classic storytells might have differed if the gender roles were reversed. If you like Alice, try Alister. The story is a bit more adult than the kids version, but i loved it! The story was well told and I will definitely pick up more books by this author!

Fight for family... fight for self.... That's one of the biggest take-aways I got from this post-apocalyptic book. The Mad Mick was an entertaining listen for me. I didn't want to quit listening to it once I got started. The narrator gives a perfect backing to this already strong story. If you enjoy a SHTF novel or just like something with a twist on the way our world is, I highly recommend this book. This was the first book I've read by this author, but it won't be the last.

I've listened to several novels narrated by Kevin Pierce and won't hesitate to pick up another one! I can't wait to listen to more books by him.

The United States has experienced its share of turmoil over the years. Although not particularly as war-torn or stricken with genocide and violent crime as other nations, over time, gun violence and terror attacks have become commonplace on American soil. Never before has the United States been subjected to widespread coordinated terrorist attacks, devastating enough to bring the entire nation to its knees. Until now.

One of the biggest compliments I can give a book is that I want more of it. Some books seem to go on forever and I'm almost happy when I hear "Audible hopes you have enjoyed this program". This is not one of those books that made me happy to hear that phrase. In fact, I was kinda disappointed when I heard them. This story captivated me and I can't wait to hear more books in this series!

Warning, this book ends on a cliffhanger so you've been warned.

Also, I want to give huge praise to the narrator. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I know that the narration played a huge role in it.
