It started as a game. We flirted. We played. Most importantly - we won. Then I discovered who he was: Gambler. Famous playboy. And my best friend’s soon-to-be brother in law, Cullen Carmichael. He needed a good luck charm, I needed a distraction. So we made a gamble and set off for Vegas - but pretty soon - I was in too deep. My heart, soul, and body weren't supposed to be part of the deal. But somewhere between big wins and long nights, my house of cards started to tumble. I’d given up on love, but the wicked, all-in Cullen Carmichael was upping the ante and wouldn’t stop until he’d won it all.

Returning home for her father’s wedding was never going to be easy for Adele. If being sent away at 18 hadn’t been bad enough, the mess she left behind when she made a pass at her dad’s business partner sure was. Fifteen years older than her, Pete had been her crush for as long as she could remember. But she’d misread the situation - confusing friendliness for undying love. Awkward. Seven years on, things are different. Adele is no longer a kid, but all it takes is seeing him again to bring back all those old feelings.

This book was a good book, not stellar, but good. I am a die hard Scott fan, and I have enjoyed her writing style for years now. What I find refreshing about her writing style is that a reader can laugh at situations that were otherwise uncomfortable. Her sarcasm and humor absolutely shine in her heroines. The reason I did not a give five star rating is because I found Peter, weak and at times, loathsome. Liking or disliking the man of interest is subjective, therefore the one star down grade. This was a good forbidden love story. The characters were well developed and believable. Scott's humor and sarcastic wit shine through. This book is worthy even though (in my humble opinion) it's not among her best work.

Looking back, none of this would've happened if I hadn't dropped my phone in the toilet. I mean, I could've walked away from him if I'd had it with me. Or maybe not. Maybe it was all over the first time he saw me, and he would've found another way. Probably - if there's one thing I've learned, it's that Shade always gets what he wants, and apparently he wanted me. Right from the first.

I hope JW forgives my tardiness in listening to this novella. I LOVED IT! I have been searching for something good to listen to for months and stumbled across this book. I am so glad I did. Wylde never let's you down when it comes to spinning a yarn. Her books are escapism at its best! If you are looking for a good MC novel, Wylde is the among the best. I know I am giving a fan girl vibe, but honestly I wish she could write more quickly! I cannot wait for her next book!

Jolie Louis is a smart girl. She knows that her best friend, Sage Poirier, is a bad idea. He's a walking, talking cliché. The Adonis quarterback with the bulging biceps and harem of fangirls trailing behind him on campus like a stench you can't get rid of. Sadly, that's also the reason she can't stay away from him. Well, that and the fact that they're roommates. Jolie is already straddling the line between friendship and more when Sage comes to her with an offer she cannot refuse.

I'm a man without a conscience. I deal in murder and mayhem. I'm the best at what I do. Frankie Helburn is supposed to be an easy job. A means to flush her father out of hiding. Simple. Except there isn't anything simple about Frankie or the secrets she's keeping. She's stubborn as hell and the sexiest god damn thing I have ever seen, sending dark, dirty animalistic desire coursing through my veins. She's cocaine with legs. A f--king addiction that makes me question things I've never questioned before.

Even though this is part of the King Series, it can be read as a stand alone. Lately it seems that is hard to find an enjoyable and entertaining listen, but as usual Frazier delivers!

It wasn't supposed to be like this.... I wasn't supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless, and jobless at 28. And I most definitely wasn't supposed to hit Hollywood's resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with my car and break his foot. Now I'm stuck in his apartment, taking care of him while he's incapacitated. Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who I've had a crush on forever, doesn't sound like a chore, right? Wrong. Gabriel Evans is rude and crude and drinks way too much, and as soon as his foot is healed I'm out of here. So why do I keep forgetting to check the classifieds?

Samantha Young is one of my favorite audio authors. I have her on auto down load because I know that her stories are entertaining in a real life sort of way. This story has charm, love and angst and just enough hotness to make it interesting. The book description pretty much sums up the story. However, this book is a journey of discovery and over coming and accepting choices that are made in life. Definitely worth a credit or sale.

Some days, all you need is a message from a stranger. Ruby Santos knew exactly what she was getting herself into when she signed up to write a soldier overseas. The guidelines were simple: one letter or email a week for the length of his or her deployment. Care packages were optional. Been there, done that. She thought she knew what to expect. What she didn't count on was falling in love with the guy.

If you have listened/read Mariana Zapata you know that she is beyond talented, has attention to detail and can write in detail about her characters. Usually I find myself emotionally invested in her characters .... KULTI is still one of my favorite all time reads and listens. Zapata is known for her "slow burn" and this book is no exception. I did enjoy the story line. I liked the idea of them getting to know each other through letters before meeting. It gives a different perspective on relationship and is relevant in today's dating climate. Although this was not my favorite of her books, it is a compelling and well written story, but do not expect it to be the same caliber as KULTI or THE WALL OF WINNIPEG.

This story truly was a complicated listen. It involves two people who have been hurt by the one's they love and are learning to move on without the people they love. Little did they know when they found each other it would not be an instant love attraction, but a relationship that would slowly materialize built upon respect as well as attraction. This couple journey of discovering love again, navigating ex's and learning to become part of an extended family is a beautiful and realistic journey. I highly recommend this listen.

Once, I was nothing. Hungry, abandoned, wandering, and alone. An adolescent street rat fighting for crumbs. Then a chance encounter changed my entire world. A man in an expensive suit asked me how much my life was worth. I didn't have an answer because I didn't know. He asked if I thought it was worth killing for. Impulsively, I said yes.... He found me, then fostered me, and, in the interim, turned me into a killing machine.
