I finally listened to this audiobook and I completely loved it!!
It's so different from the first one, but different in a good way.
This book has all the romance and the love and the swoony moments and I couldn't be happier. The sexy scenes were great too but the building of their relationship was the big protagonist in this book.
I love Elizabeth and Weston so much. I love how much Elizabeth grew up in this book and all the change in Weston, aswell.
I would listen to both audiobooks again, back to back, and fall all over again with these two.
100% recommended.

Within the underbelly of one of America’s largest cities lives a world where a man’s word is either his most valuable tool or his most respected weapon. When my father ruled that world and that city, he promised me someone who would one day make my reign complete. Since that day long ago, Araneae McCrie has been mine. She just didn’t know. My father is now gone. The city and the underbelly are now mine. The time has come for me to collect who was promised to me, to shred her life of secrets and make her who she’s always been - mine.

Disclaimer: I don’t read dark romance and I don’t enjoy it at all, but I’d do for Aleatha because she’s a genius and everything she writes is golden… Hence, the 4 stars… Otherwise, I’d have rated it with 5 stars.
Oh. My. God. How I was so out of my comfort zone with this book, but I had the audiobook to help me continue reading despite the darkness in it! In Secrets, the first book of the Web of Sin Trilogy, Kennedy knew her real name when she was a teenager, but for years that name didn’t mean anything to her. Until one day it became everything, but it carried so many questions that only Sterling could answer, but he wouldn’t answer them all at once… He’d take his time and in the meantime, he’d claim what’s his: Araneae, AKA Kennedy.

What else can I say aside from…. *shock face*

Aleatha knows how to make me never want to stop reading—or listening to—her books with all the suspense and intrigue and mystery she adds to them… And with the addition of the erotism… WOW!!! The story, the characters, and the background were greatly built and with the revelation by the end, Aleatha made sure to have me waiting eagerly for the next book, Lies.

Savannah Peachwood & Alexander Cendese did a great job with the narration of Secrets. Both their performances matched the story and personality of Araneae/Kennedy and Sterling. The sex scenes were PERFECT!!! WOW!!! Really, really greatly read!!

And now… the wait… being…

Is it December 4th already?

That smoking hot one-night stand with a former rock star? Turns out, he's my son's new teacher. Oops. But I didn't know that the night I met Campbell. All I knew was he played my body the same way he played a guitar - like he owned it. My libido is still high-fiving me after being self-served for too many years, and we're both ready for another night or two of fun, especially since we don't just have chemistry in bed - we connect over everything. That is, until I learn he's the man who'll be coming to my house twice a week to teach my son the best music lessons money can buy.

What did you like best about this story?
I liked the development of Mackenzie and Campbell’s relationship. I like how they met, their attraction felt genuine and but mostly I liked how their relationship grew, the perfect combination of passion and chemistry that made their story amazing.

Who was your favorite character and why?
I liked Mackenzie and Campbell so much, but their kids were my favorite. I always love kids in books and in this case, they were teens, both smart, funny and with a great love for their parents.

What about Sebastian York & Andi Arndt’s performance did you like?
Sebastian and Andi made an amazing job with this audiobook, making great impressions for their characters and the story itself. I particularly loved the duet narration when they were texting. I would have been better if it was a full duet narration in the whole audio. I’m sure it would be a great success.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I recommend this book to everyone who likes a drama free story, full of romance and sexy times and a great sense of family.

Oh, how I loved Fixed Forever when I read it when it was published. It was amazing! Having Hudson and Alayna back was simply the best. All the drama that is always around their lives is so great to read and they never disappoint. And now, having them in audiobook makes me love Fixed Forever even more. Carly Robins and Jeremy York did an amazing job with the narration. Carly was perfect for Alayna in the first three audios of the series and I'm so happy she was back in this new addition of the series. She is particularly great at transmitting Alayna's emotions, especially when she is taken by her obsessions. There was a scene that really made me feel everything that Alayna was feeling and caused me even more stress than the first time I read it. Jeremy is new to Hudson's voice and I couldn't help it but to go to the previous audiobook and compare him with the narration James Patrick Nelson did in HUDSON (Book 4 of the Fixed Series) I like both performances, they are both stern and sexy and commanding and very Hudson like, but Jeremy transmitted all the vulnerability of Hudson's in this book, that was one of the things I loved the most in this story.
The introduction to the spin-off of Laurelin's next series was just perfect with this book, giving hints of what could happen but not giving enough, leaving wondering about it and wanting it more and more.

Would you consider the audio edition of Dominate to be better than the print version?

I love it when a book gets better with the audiobook. The dual narration is something I love so much about Amy’s audios, it makes the experience so much better because I don’t have to listen to a man doing a woman’s voice or the other way around. Don’t get me wrong, the narrators are very talented and they make the best inflections, but sometimes that feels forced, but not with this audiobook. Anyway, Will Watt, Piper Goodeve, and Charlotte Cole made an incredible job in this audiobook, their accents are flawless, the pace is perfect for the story and the most important, they put their hearts into their narrations, especially for the emotional parts of this story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Dominate like crazy, and now, with the audiobook, I don’t know what to do with myself. I mean, Gareth Harris is just sooooooo perfect and amazing and Sloan made him oh so the dreamy book boyfriend!! <3 They are the ultimate couple. But I think, after the audiobook, my favorite character is Sophia. She is just so sweet and awesome!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

ALL. THE. FEELS. AND. ALL. THE. TEARS.

Would you listen to Dominate again? Why?

Absolutely!! In fact, I’ll listen to all the audiobooks of the Harris Brothers series, because the whole family is just amazing.
