On an isolated Texas ranch, Dr. Lucy cares for abandoned animals. The solitude allows her to avoid the people and places that remind her of the past. Not that any of the townsfolk care. In 1959, no one is interested in a woman doctor. Nor are they welcoming Calvin and Justin Bell, a newly arrived African American father and son.

As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

Paranormal private eye. Grim reaper extraordinaire. Whatever. Charley Davidson is back in Darynda Jones' Third Grave Dead Ahead! And she’s drinking copious amounts of caffeine to stay awake because, every time she closes her eyes, she sees him: Reyes Farrow, the parthuman, part-supermodel son of Satan. Yes, she did imprison him for all eternity, but come on.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I know this was free and I should not complain but it feels so rushed. I love his voice and wished this was just slowed down a bit.

What was most disappointing about the authors’s story?

All great works selected

Would you be willing to try another one of Richard Armitage’s performances?

In a heart beat.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from FREE: Classic Love Poems?

None, I would slow down the pace so it was not so rushed.

Any additional comments?

Thank you for the free poems. Great selection just need to slow it down to savor the the words and voice.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Overall, it was an OK story. I figured out who Trent was right away so that was not a shock. It was a very formulaic story, not much thinking or depth to it.I am not a fan of romances and I listened to this to take a break away from my usual fantasy, horror, sci-fi books.

Would you ever listen to anything by K. A. Tucker again?

Probably not, romance is not my cup of tea.

Which character – as performed by Elizabeth Louise – was your favorite?

I just finsihed this book 10 minutes agao and already forgot the characters. The sister Livie was the best. She was not as broken as the rest of them.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No, but I could see this turned into a silly sappy movie.

Any additional comments?

If you like the romance genre you will enjoy this. If you dont like predictable, sappy stories stay away.
