once i finished the frontlines series and learning that the author is taking a break from it i been hungry for a replacement. after many months i come across this. granted at times the author is repetitive in many of his description and i find myself as oliver asking "please sir can i have some more" as i roll my eyes but once get past that i find that this is a good book and being it a long series i look forward to growing as i journey with the characters through this tail.

Felix would like nothing more than to take a vacation. A long one. One where he didn’t have to wake up every morning and worry over casualty lists for the day. Ever since he and the Legion had been forced to flee their headquarters four years previous, nothing had gone quite right. In fact, Felix and the Legion have been locked in a shadow war with enemies unknown. Ones with magic that could carve through their technology easily.

listened to both books in as many days. couldnt put down. are there a bunch of sex scenes? sure but they are very quick and not dragged out. if anything they are more quickies than anything in comparison to a real erotic book with pages worth of sexual oreintation and discription of which i have listened too before. so if the slightest sexual content bothers you then dont listen. as for story line is it the most advanced book ive listened? no but that is why i enjoyed it. i didnt have to think and disect i was able to more relax and enjoy. perhaps if this is below your lvl may i recommend to you Moby Dick? a great book but last time i listened to it i woke up from a 16 hour slumber the next day. for a casual fun listen this is a book for you.

Elena Rosales has busted her ass to get into a good college. She's the only one in her family ever to attend, and expectations are high. No pressure. But Elena's got this one in the bag, because she's as dependable as the molecules she studies, as reliable as the chemical reactions that comfort her in their predictability - until they don't.

Loved the book listened to whole book in two days. Elena did drive me nuts at times. She is so morale i almost wished several times she would be killed off cause.no one is that honorable especially when everyone she is trying to help and save is wanting and trying to kill her. I would of let them burn to be honest. Its one thing to be a firefighter and run into the flames to save a life. Its another to run into the flames while the same person your trying to save has a uzi and is shooting at you cause they hate you with all there being. This is what Elena is doing the entire book sort of lol.

The ancient alien AI they nicknamed Skippy is apparently dead, and even if they can by some miracle revive him, he might never be the same.

I enjoy the overall story but I feel as if half the story is a chore list. there is more story to the daily chores of what needs to be done than a actual story of adventure I still enjoyed the story but think has a lot of room for improvement. hopefully book 4 will be more action and adventure and less to do list lol. still a good series.

In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one. He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job. His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.
