Six-million acres of Adirondack forest separate Natalie and Doug Larson from civilization. For the newlyweds, the isolated backcountry honeymoon seemed ideal for starting their lives together, but as they begin to explore the dark interiors of their own hearts, it soon becomes clear that they are not alone in the woods. A man watches them, wielding the forest like a weapon. He wants something from them that's more terrifying than death. And once they are near him, he will do everything in his power to make sure they never walk out again.

I hardly ever write reviews. This one was worth my time. Growing up in a church that believed All other Faiths and beliefs were going to Hell I found the story very relatable. The narration was perfect. I go through 2-3 books a week and this is the first in months I could not just skip over reviewing and go on to the next. I’ll be passing it on as well. Def credit worthy!!

My only complaint is with the narrators male voice. It was pretty awful and hard for me to imagine the husbands character differ from the scumbags. Not enough of a deterrent to reconsider getting the book. If they were all this good I’d never get ANYTHING else done. Well worth the credit !

I normally never take the time to rate books and go through about three a week. Don't start this one if you've got a busy schedule ahead. You'll end up staying up late to listen! I'll look for more from this author now. It was really good.
