Follow the Money: A Tale of Tales
By: David Fuentes Narrated by: Matthew Kerslake

This is written from the point of view of a bill, or note. We are quite literally following the money while reading this book. The writing is smooth and easy to follow. The stories are definitely all unique. I thought this story was a fun and quick listen.
I listened to the audio edition of this book and felt the narrator did an excellent job with the story.
However, I feel I need to let potential readers know this book is not meant to be listened to by non-adults. There are certain elements in the journey that are NOT considered to be “family friendly” and language that may be considered offensive is used quite frequently throughout the book.
Having said that, I still thought t to be entertaining; with all the feels included. One minute I felt empathy towards a character, only to follow with laughing at the next character. It was quite the roller coaster of emotions. Overall, I rate it with 4 stars.

With the help of his friend, JR Diminski, retired FBI profiler Sean Kruger rescues a female graduate student after she is kidnapped from the university campus where he teaches. He finds the abduction too familiar. From 1999 through 2002 six female college students vanished, without a trace, from four different college campuses across the country. As the lead FBI investigator on those now cold cases, his failure to find the women and the person responsible still haunts him.

I was pretty positive volume 3 was the end of the Sean Kruger Series, but I am thrilled to see Kruger hasn’t lost his amazing detective talents. This is volume 4 of a series but it can be a read-alone as well; readers are giving a small back story when needed to keep the flow of the story going. The kidnapper/murderer has managed to slip through Sean’s hands and I am glad the families finally got the much needed closure they needed after all these years. (This isn’t a spoiler; it’s more about the twists in the plot, than this)
The Cold Trail is as good, if not better, than the earlier volumes of the series and, as always J.C.Fields does not disappoint! This is an easy 4 Star book.
I listened to the audio edition and McSorley did a great job narrating!

Narcissism: How to Understand, Deal with, and Heal from Narcissism in Your Life
By: Geoffrey Loren Narrated by: Leigh Adams

This book is short but extremely informative. The author explains narcissism in easy to understand ways. He is straight to the point with analogies everyone will understand. After 5 years of college, it is with complete confidence that I say, I have never learn so much in an hour as I have with this book. I appreciate the author’s language not using too much scientific terminology that is the norm in this genre. I consider Narcissism: How to Understand, Deal with, and Heal from Narcissism in Your Life is a huge 4 star book.

I loved this series; it’s full of mystery and suspense. I literally had to listen to all three at the once, I just couldn’t stop! Sean Kruger goes from an awesome agent to the best just doing what he does best. The writing is an obvious show of talent; characters are well developed and the past and circumstances of each character is well explained. The back stories of each victim clearly understood, allowing readers to feel completely for each person without having any questions interrupt the flow of the story. The Sean Kruger Series is an easy and smooth read/listen, making it a huge 4 star book to me.

Reunited (The Zion Series)
By: Brittany Nicole Lewis Narrated by: Rick Barr

After Michael learns of his heritage, he struggles with his conscience. After blindly following the Zion rules all of his life, the loss of his family has him questioning everything his known to be right. How will he resolve this? In a very unique and inventive way that only Michael could come up with. I recommend this to all readers; young and old. This is a family friendly read that the whole family can enjoy together. It supports Christian values without preaching, which I find a relief. Reunited is another 4 star book from Brittany Nicole Lewis. I listened to the audio version of this book and Rick Barr’s narration is as awesome as always.

Every cheap little barbarian movie deserves a sequel. But abiding by the laws of straight-to-video sword and sorcery, the sequel doesn’t always continue the story. They’re crazier, funny, and often far removed from the mythology laid down by the film which preceded them. So, in keeping with this formula comes Sword Dude 2. The continuing adventures of the hero also known as the Dude of Swords. He’s back, by popular demand, fighting, killing, playing it cool, and saving the girl in this phantasmagoric romp into realms fantastic.

Sword Dude 2

By: Kent Hill Narrated by: J. Scott Bennett

I think I can safely say that this book is hilarious. Sword Dude 2 is funny in the inappropriately stupid way. It’s like the Sword Dude is some kind of Alien super hero in a world full of dumb and dumber people. It’s the literary version of Spaceballs, only with more sex and drunkenness. Makes me think of the cat with no hair that’s so ugly it’s cute; this is so stupid it’s funny.
Sword Dude 2 is another 4 star book to me.

Michael felt like his life ended the day his family left. In a way, it did. While he struggled to remain composed when he was in the company of others, he allowed his thoughts and anxieties to consume him when he was alone. Though the life that he had always known had ended, a new one quickly emerged, one that had been suppressed by the Elders for far too long. While Michael struggled to wrap his brain around the information he was learning about his true identity, his heart continuously pulled him toward a young girl.

There will be an instant need to continue with this series; I definitely plan on listening to more! Heir of Zion is quite easily a 4 star book!
