Arek's master, Silbane, is ordered to use that power to close a gate between their world and one inhabited by demons. This will save their people, but potentially at the cost of Arek's life. This is book of many perspectives the only truth , is that truth is relative . Your answer says
More about you then the story.
Everyone must choose a side and every side has there own reasons . Good , Evil right and
Wrong . Can a good person do evil or Vice versa ?
I personally enjoyed the Duality of this story.
A Wheel if you get my meaning.
The narrator Mr Kramer as always does an excellent job breathing life into the words of Mr Lakshman who a storyteller on par with my favorites. I look forward too see the rest of this tale , and hopefully much more too follow .

Gabriel Delling might call himself a professional con artist, but when walking superstitions start trying to bite his face off, his charm is shockingly unhelpful. It turns out living nightmares almost never appreciate a good joke. Together with a succubus who insists on constantly saving his life, Gabe desperately tries to survive a new reality that suddenly features demons, legends, and a giant locust named Dale - all of whom pretty much hate his guts. And when an ancient horror comes hunting for a spirit locked in his head, Gabe finds himself faced with the excruciating choice between death...or becoming some kind of freaking hero.

Ok , let me start with I had no idea what I was getting into with this book . That’s not always a bad thing, I didn’t realize that the author is also the narrator. It’s a good thing cause I probably wouldn’t have bought it .
I am very glad I did ! It’s a fun ride . I was expecting the tried ok overly tried hero stick . You know , shepherd/farmer chosen/ Prophecy meets wise old sage/master you all the tropes . That is not what I got . Too my delight this is better , refreshingly good story interesting an remarkably likable characters an a nonstop ride into a magical unseen world . Plus this world is full of possibly.. I Eagerly await the next step in the story!
I have too give kudos to Josh Erikson not only did he create a great story with his written words . He brought it too life with an outstanding Audio performance , which is no easy thing. So if your like myself and love a good story , give this a try you won be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this story the characters, are fun an relatable .
The virtual ( Zspace) aspect not completely unknown in realm
Of literature . Still done in a interesting an newish way . I don’t wanna compare it too
The obviously contemporary Ready Player One , but some of Virtual aspects of
are a little Familiar . Don’t get me wrong I like this story an not comparing .
Now too the issue I had with the audio book I enjoyed it yet there was an issue
With the Recording itself, seems to me the individuals recording each voice recorded at a different acoustics , pitch .
I’m thinking different studios different recording set ups not a huge Detraction .I still enjoyed it and all of the audio performances and would Purchase more in the style . this is my opinion .
I’m always about the story an this is a fun one .
I wonder if we will hear more from Zspace ?? In closing looking for a fun time, take a chance see if you like what’s the worst that can happen ...

P.s. if you are like me you always tried too get the Ratio right , I mean it seems like a waste too give up a credit for a book
2 hr It’s a complicated ratio credits don’t grow on trees . At least I don’t think audible gets em that way ?? But then again it’s Amazon who know , those people are crazy.
FYI Skynet will come from Amazon 🤔

A thousand years ago the gods brokered a peace treaty with the dragons to save mankind. As a monument, the magical Dragonwall was built stretching from the dwarven city of Farreach to the port city of Seareach. Over generations, the great dragons' stories have turned to myths and the treaty forgotten. The wall's magic is failing and the call for a hero goes unanswered.
