The cocky, charismatic former high school star quarterback is an idolized football coach and "cool" teacher in the hometown where he's not just a golden boy - he's platinum. I can read women better than any blueprint. I understand their secret desires and insecurities, and I know how to get rid of them once I get off. But all bets are off when Tiel Desai slams into my life. I can't read the gorgeous conservatory-trained violinist, but she's the only one keeping me from shattering by small degrees, and I can't let her go.

I met Sarah Kate Erickson when I was 21 years old. I was lucky enough to keep her for seven years before a tragic accident stole her from me. She didn't die, but sometimes I think it would have been easier if she had. I lived in a haze for those four years after the accident. Catering to her every need, even though she hated the very sight of my face. I tried to hold on to her and the future that we were supposed to build together. But you can't hold on to someone that doesn't exist anymore.

Gideon Cross. Falling in love with him was the easiest thing I've ever done. It happened instantly. Completely. Irrevocably. Marrying him was a dream come true. Staying married to him is the fight of my life. Love transforms. Ours is both a refuge from the storm and the most violent of tempests. Two damaged souls entwined as one.

I was looking forward to this book. I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. Loved the growth and trust between them. Totally disliked the supporting cast outcome. What about the supposed pregnancy? What about Trey? Where was Elizabeth? First part seemed so detailed only to rush the ending. I wanted everything wrapped up, good or bad. I hope this isn't the last book. SPOILER...Talking to dead people?!??! What other book was she writing at the same time that made her cross the lines?

I am a huge KA fan so it hurts to say, but this was a tough read. It was as if KA wanted to do a cross between the Crossfire Series and Fifty Shades. It definitely wasn't her best work. If this is your first KA read, don't give up. Read the Dream Man Series.

A Washington, DC, defense attorney, Stanton Shaw keeps his head cool, his questions sharp, and his arguments irrefutable. Men want to be him, and women want to be thoroughly cross-examined by him.

Gideon calls me his angel, but he's the miracle in my life. My gorgeous, wounded warrior, so determined to slay my demons while refusing to face his own. The vows we'd exchanged should have bound us tighter than blood and flesh. Instead they opened old wounds, exposed pain and insecurities, and lured bitter enemies out of the shadows. I felt him slipping from my grasp, my greatest fears becoming my reality, my love tested in ways I wasn't sure I was strong enough to bear.

It's taken some time for me to write a review. I won't stretch it out like this author has stretched this series. This book is frustrating. It answered very few questions and after 3 books with Jill Redfield, I don't like Jeremy York as Gideon. Land the plane, wrap it up.

While Josephine was trotting the globe, retired boxer Jake Spear was living in the same small town as Lydia.

I had to be patient with this book. It started slow and the back and forth confused me, but it was a great read. We read this for a book club discussion and some of the ladies couldn't finish it, but It was great in the end. Malice is about the choices we make and how we can become so blind sided when we only look at situations from a narrow perspective.
