Would you try another book from Diana Rowland and/or Liv Anderson?

I have really enjoyed this series from the beginning, but the last two books have been too much. The books are too long, and they need to end. It is like watching network TV with 25 episodes in a season. Too much material to stay interested. I did not remember who any of the characters were in this go around, and there was NO way I was going to listen to the last book again. I was confused, bored, and ready for it to END! I am ready for the series to end! If the next book is not the last one in the series, I am done listening to it. I must add that I really like The White Trash Zombie books. I am really sad because Diana Rowland's books are the books I most look forward to downloading the new releases. I just feel like this is the never ending story.

Would you recommend Legacy of the Demon to your friends? Why or why not?

No I would not recommend this series to any friends because there are humans having sex with demons. I gave it to my cousin and he deleted it as soon as Kara started to have sex with Rhyzkahl in book 1. I don't even like to tell my family or friends that I listen to these books. I know they are technically aliens, but Rowland should point that out more. I often feel like I could spend my time listening to something more edifying or educational.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Liv Anderson?

She is a good narrator for the most part, but Jill's voice is BEYOND ANNOYING! It is so shrill! Liv talks so low where you cannot hear what she is saying, so I turn it up, and then Jill's voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard. This book needs to be tamed with some audio compression tools! It is an unpleasant listening experience when the volume on the voices go up and down and up and down and up.....You get the picture...

Did Legacy of the Demon inspire you to do anything?

Yes. This book inspired me to focus my spare time on activities that are good for my brain, as these books are mindless entertainment.

Any additional comments?

I feel bad that I have given this book such a poor review. I do know that authors put their heart and soul into their works. I have mad respect for Rowland's time and imagination, but I just want to enjoy her hard work. Please end the series on the next book, and focus on a new series. Anything over 12 hours on these books is too much.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Andi Dorfman does not have enough life experience to give love advice to anyone. She is BEYOND immature. Her advice made me cringe. She behaves like a teenager when it comes to relationships. Grow up, Andi. You'd make a fine adult!

What was most disappointing about Andi Dorfman’s story?

Her advice

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

She is a good narrator.

What would have made The Girl in the Spider's Web better?

I never write reviews, but I had to on this one. It wasn't horrible, but I was ready for it to be over. I know a book isn't all that great when I have to keep rewinding because I quit paying attention. I just gave up on rewinding this one because I still couldn't pay attention. Hopefully the next one is better.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

More relationship between Lisbeth and Mikael. Not enough Lisbeth.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator may have actually been the problem. Who knows.....

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Girl in the Spider's Web?

The scenes I did not pay attention to. About 1/3 of the book.

If the past is prologue, then George R. R. Martin's masterwork - the most inventive and entertaining fantasy saga of our time - warrants one hell of an introduction. At long last, it has arrived with The World of Ice & Fire. This volume is a comprehensive history of the Seven Kingdoms, providing vividly constructed accounts of the epic battles, bitter rivalries, and daring rebellions that lead to the events of A Song of Ice and Fire and HBO's Game of Thrones.

What disappointed you about The World of Ice & Fire?

It was really boring

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I hate to say it, but Roy Dotrice was the downfall of this audiobook. He was hard to understand, and his lack of characters voices made it impossible for me to pay attention. I needed subtitles to understand him! LOL! Don't get me wrong, I love Dotrice's narrations of A Song of Ice and Fire volumes despite BRI-EEN and other mispronunciations. I truly hope he will be able to finish out the series, but after this release, I am not sure if he'll be up for it.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Roy Dotrice and Nicholas Guy Smith ?

I noticed that I actually payed attention when Nicholas Guy Smith was narrating. I wish he had narrated the whole book.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The World of Ice & Fire?

There are too many to count.

Any additional comments?

There were parts of the book that were really informative/enjoyable, but they were like a needle in a haystack.
