I have loved this series and looked forward to the conclusion only to be extremely disappointed. There were so many things in this book that didn't make sense or need to be added. I've been emotionally invested in Ava & Gideon's story until this book. The series took me on a journey and I felt every thing that the couple went through. In this one I couldn't connect. Where was the emotional Ava I'd come to love? What was with all the new twists and turns the book took? Most were unnecessary and outrageous and only took away from the story. My greatest disappointment is how few things were tied up by the end of the book. There is so much you are left to wonder about, to the point that you expect another book to find out what happens to everyone. Even the epilog is 2 weeks after the book ends. This is the biggest book let down I've ever experienced and it leaves me wondering what the author was thinking when she wrote this final book.

It may be that I am not much for BDSM but this book just didn't work for me at all. I didn't connect Tex & Abby as a couple event though I love their characters as individuals. I will still be listening to the rest of the series as I loved Shooter would recommend this author as I thoroughly enjoyed the first book.

While this wasn't what I expected, a slightly different version of other MC books with some romance thrown in for fun, what I got was just as good. I enjoyed the slow build of a story, a strong couple to love, and I story I couldn't have anticipated. This is a romance for sure, but in a completely different and new way.

No connections. Play it safe. These were the rules Ivey lived her life by. Until she hit Mustang, Colorado, a perfectly imperfect town where the citizens were welcoming, and one of them included the tall, beautiful, macho-man rancher cowboy Grayson Cody. On the run for a decade, Ivey knew she was supposed to play it safe. But she was tired of being on the run. She wanted normal. She wanted real. She wanted a home. And she wanted Grayson Cody. And Grayson Cody wanted Ivey.

Sayer Cole and Zeb Fuller couldn't be more different. She's country club and fine dining, he's cell block and sawdust. Sayer spends her days in litigation while Zeb spends his working with his hands. She's French silk, he's all denim and flannel. Zeb's wanted the stunning blonde since the moment he laid eyes on her. I guess I will be the odd person out as I didn't like the story line. Stanton was a total fail as a father and completely clueless where Sofia was concerned. I just didn't buy into the main 2 characters and how Stanton was heading home to convince Jenny not to marry another man while he brings is FWB and continues to have sex with her while trying to win Jenny back. It left a bad taste in my mouth. And I would have liked to see Sofia have more backbone and not let Stanton treat her so poorly.

Then he was free, and it was time for his reward - full membership in the club along with a party to celebrate. That was when he saw Becca Jones for the first time and set everything in motion. Before the night ended, he'd violated his parole and stolen her away from everything she knew.

Joanna Wylde is an automatic-buy author for me so I picked this book up as soon as it was available for pre-order. I was really looking forward to Pucks story but this book just didn't do it for me. I couldn't relate to Becca or Puck. I kept waiting for the story to pick up and it never did. I am really hoping Painter and Melanie's store gets back in line with the work I am used to from this author. I won't give up on this author because usually enjoy her work but this is not my favorite.

I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of 10 thousand dollars. Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job. Enough to let me focus on classes. There was no name on the check, just "VRI Inc.", and a post office box address for somewhere in the city. No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything. No mention of repayment, interest, nothing...except a single word, on the notes line: "You." Just those three letters.
