Reader is difficult to understand
The reader was difficult to understand. Also, additional scientific background would have been helpful. For example, the author states that eating many different foods in one meal houses fermentation in the gut and then proceeds to advise on which food should be consumed together. Why do certain foods ferment? Why do they move through the gut more slowly?

Thorough and motivating
I loved all the background information from scientific studies that brought James to his conclusions. It was extremely informative and provided good, practical suggestions to overcome our modern day sedentary lives. Very thorough and motivating!
