Why do so many business owners pour time and money into their websites and get so little in return? Usually, it's because they aren't focusing on the right strategies. They waste resources chasing the wrong metrics and don't know how to turn views and other forms of engagement into sales. They know they need to find customers online to stay competitive, but aren't sure how. Get your copy today and you'll start making money from your website instead of sinking more of your budget into it.

If business is a river, the Internet is the whitewater, so fast moving that you need to monitor trends regularly or get left behind. This is a reasonable 2016 snapshot of high level Internet strategy that covers social media marketing, natural search, paid search, and usability, areas that may be neglected by business that got into the Internet early and have not stayed up to date. This book is highly appropriate for small and midsize businesses. I was a little disappointed to hear a typo where the word 'conversation' was used instead of 'conversion' but I figured it out -- I guess audiobooks are not immune to typographical errors.

The Sun Also Rises is one of Ernest Hemingway's masterpieces and a classic example of his spare but powerful style. A poignant look at the disillusionment and angst of the post-World War I generation, the story introduces two of Hemingway's most unforgettable characters: Jake Barnes and Lady Brett Ashley. Follow the flamboyant Brett and the hapless Jake as they journey from the wild nightlife of the 1920s Paris to the brutal bullfighting rings of Spain with a motley group of expatriates.

The Buddhist practice of mindfulness caught on in the west when we began to understand the everyday, personal benefits it brought us. Now, in this extraordinary audiobook, the highly acclaimed thought leader and longtime English translator of His Holiness the Dalai Lama shows us that compassion can bring us even more.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it is definite a breakthrough book that presents mindfulness and compassion not just as a therapeutic intervention but as a key daily practice that can be connected with a greater spiritual meaning. I think it may be the missing piece for those who have found themselves resistant to generic mindfulness practice.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Sanjiv Jhaveri?

No, this narrator unfortunately uses an adolescent voice that is hard to get around and makes the overall presentation seem on the edge of insolence. I would rather read this book in print. As the book is challenging us with great wisdom and lots of gratuitous advice, it would be more natural to hear a voice that sounds like an older, more seasoned individual, a Yoda rather than a Luke Sykwalker.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was hard to take all at once but worth consuming in smaller portions.

Any additional comments?

The story expressed by Mr. Jinpa relating to being a self-made man is quite interesting but at times it is quite difficult to relate to the level of pride and egotism that is expressed. It doesn't quite fit with my concept of a monastic approach, and it is tempted me to compare myself with this very successful man. That is unfortunate as for me I came up short comparing myself to Mr. Jinpa. I think it would have been easier to swallow if he had made an attempt to approach the reader with compassion and equality, by focusing more on personal struggles and less on exploring the worldly status and material advancement he has achieved. Specifically, he could do a better job of explaining why he turned away from the monastic life. Combined with the boasting, boyish sounding narrator I think the book is unnecessarily burdened by a tinge of arrogance.

Ishmael, a sailor looking for his next adventure, and his friend who happens to be a former prince, sign up to join a whaling ship in Nantucket. The morning before they set sail on their voyage, many ominous signs of what the pair's fate may be are seen and heard through sermon and prophecy as the two friends ignore the warnings and make their way to the docks. Soon into the trip, the one-legged Captain Ahab announces that the whaling adventure is really a hunt for one very specific large, white sperm whale.

If you could sum up Moby Dick in three words, what would they be?

Oh captain my captain.

What did you like best about this story?

The whale, icon of our delicate ecology, wins.

Have you listened to any of Philippe Duquenoy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This performance worked for me because of the narrator's youthful exuberance, which perfectly captures Ishmael's charming sense of wonder, and made it a delight to plow through this very very long book.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The Ocean God

Any additional comments?

I doubt I could make it through the print version so I'm really glad I tried this unabridged audio version.

One of the most important novels in classic literature, Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter tackles the subject of adultery, with the notorious Hester Prynne at the forefront of the scandal in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. In the beginning of the novel, Hester is serving time in prison for having a child out of wedlock and is forced to wear a scarlet A on her clothing at all times, so she cannot run from her sin no matter where she goes.

Its not always easy to determine options that truly push the business toward a clear objective. And it's sometimes too easy to allow negativity to block out-of-the-box thinking. This book compresses a career's worth of case studies and inclusive process interventions into a 7 hour listen. I also like the use of consumer products as their case study as the intense competition and commoditization in that sector provides a backdrop to understand the toughest strategic challenges. It was easy enough to apply the principles to my industry which is IT services. The only thing missing, is an image of the process matrix to which they allude in chapter 7; it would be helpful to have a pdf download of figures included as is the case for other audible titles. I was able to find it on Google image search.
