The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

Magic pieces of armor rain from Lenova's skies, granting men God-like powers. Mountains move, lightning bends to command, and a man's future can be written in a book before it's even happened. In this emerging chaos, teenage Finn SunRider cares only for escaping the burning desert of the Crust and exploring the world he lives in. Yet that will prove quite difficult with monsters and tyrants roaming the land, conquering cities and killing the innocent.

The pacing of this book is quick. Not every character is talked about to death or being explained what they are feeling which is something I enjoyed about this book. The author can be overly dramatic at time but he is writing about a teenager. I will be getting book two.

Sheriff Hayden Duke was born on the Pilgrim, and he expects to die on the Pilgrim, like his father, and his father before him. That's the way things are on a generation starship centuries from home. He's never questioned it. Never thought about it. And why bother? Access points to the ship's controls are sealed, the systems that guide her automated and out of reach. It isn't perfect, but he has all he needs to be content. Until a malfunction forces his engineer wife to the edge of the habitable zone to inspect the damage.

I quit shortly after starting the book. Narrator was ok. I was feeling like I already knew how it was gonna end or maybe it was to cliche for me. The book just did not pull me in. Cops as main characters I find boring. I’m not saying it’s bad. If you think you will like it give it a try.

Miracles are happening. Pray to God they stop. In the dead of winter, on a highway in Quebec, a man crashes his car and survives. In New York, a homeless person is run over by a bus and lives. In Tokyo, a teenager jumps off a high rise building and fails in taking her own life. All over the world, miracles like these transpire, and people breathe a sigh of relief. But for the next week, some people will begin to suspect a terrible truth. A handful will even search for it. One man will find it. And in seven days, all hell will break loose.

I loved saga of seven suns. so I gave this trilogy a go. If you have already listened to book two then you already know it's like the author was so stoned when he wrote this he would forget who the characters were and checks his note cards then retype all the info again just to jog his memory over and over and over. Jesus freaking christ WE KNOW! THE ELEMENTAL WAR WAS 20 YEARS AGO! I can't finish with 9hrs left I will never buy this author again. I'm so done will authors who write nonstop. More is not better. Pass on this trilogy.
