An implacable foe with telepathic cohesion in battle, near immortality, and eons-advanced engineering skills threatens to wipe humanity from the galaxy. What's more, they've overcome their one weakness - no faster-than-light travel - and have followed humanity through our star gates and beyond. But humans are the master of adaption and have got a counterpunch of devastating proportions in reserve.

this is yet another compelling story in the Starfire series that should be made into a live-action series whether it's on Amazon or Netflix I don't care the Starfire series of books rich in story and drama wrapped around science fiction that compels the best space operas ever to recognize its greatness. This could be the Star Wars of the Next Generation but even better to turn each of these books into a series.

Long ago, much of the population of an entire planet fled their world before its sun went nova in thousands of ships, each one larger than a city. Now, the armada has arrived at the world they intend to make their new home. They regard the fact that the planet is already colonized by humans as a mere inconvenience, and their mode of communication is so different from anything humans use that they do not consider humans and their allies to be truly intelligent.

I love the Starfire series and it needs to be made into a live action or animated version so that everyone can enjoy. The infinite diversity in complex story lines are begging to me made and to a visual format. if Netflix would turn each novel into a season of 10 2 may be 15 episodes then they would have their own Star Wars type epic sci-fi Adventure that would compete with Amazon's acquisition of the TV show expanse and its other SciFi Ventures that they are heavily investing in. such Rich characters and strong female and minority leads will attract everyone. but until then I'll enjoy the audible and the narrations which are amazing and awesome. but I'm also cool if Amazon picks it up and makes it into a serious as well because this needs to be done.

Spacers call the warp point Charon's Ferry. No star ship has ever entered it and returned since a vengeful Orion task force pursued a doomed Terran colonization fleet into it in 2206. Almost a century has passed. The fiery hatreds of a quarter-century of warfare between the Terran Federation and the Zheeerlikou'valkhannaieeee, the cat-like species humans called the "Orions", have eased at least a little.

it feels as if you're watching a movie with your ears. I've read the Shiva Option many years ago and for some reason I thought it was the first in the series and I was wrong but boy was I happy I was because now I get to enjoy all of them. this was an amazing experience and my introduction to Audible books and I'm going to stay with this from now on.You will not regret this so just do it already.
