Alvin woke in a room that was not his, to discover that he had died and his brain had been bargained off cheaply to pay off someone else’s debt. It did not sit well with him. It didn’t surprise him that even in death, people were still using him for their own purposes. He had never exactly been a good guy, but everyone had their breaking point, and he had found his. The bastards in charge had uploaded his mind into a virtual death game. The whole world could now pay to see him play it and probably die. Regardless, he was not about to wait for death to come for him.

The Mitherfickers are back and ready to bring the fight to the Shinigami! But before they can do that, they need an audience with the Knights of Non Compos Mentis, the most powerful guild in Tritania. Luckily for them, Ryuk used to be a member of the famed guild, and to get to the guild headquarters, they'll need to level up and figure out a way into a city heightened tight security. Along their journey to Polynya, the second floating continent of Tritania, the Mitherfickers are joined by a high elf, whose village is being terrorized by a big bad wolf.

Wow, I am not sure where to start on this except wow. This book is chalk full of run and crazy characters and awesome adventures. From the crazy swede streamer to the cranky goblin I could not turn away.

Jeff Hays as both the swede and the goblin blew me away and I can not praise it enough. When I first read the book I could not imagine how someone was going to deliver the crazy as hell goblin monologues but Jeff did and did it with aplomb.

For Riley and his friends, Sigil Online has never been more real. With the latest expansion, pain has been enabled and will now affect all players in-game. Aptly named "Hellions", the expansion introduces monsters, but not the kind that paragons have been fighting for the past several years. This time, players can be the monsters they once sought to destroy. But in a game where playing means having the money to survive in the real world, what will Riley do when death in the game doesn't just mean an end to his character, but an end to his life?

Jeff squared knocked it out of the part with this one.

Jeff Hays delivers another amazing performance. I am constantly impressed with his range of voices and skills at delivering them in such a believable way. I especially love the voice and characteristics that he used for the White Weevil.

Jeff Sproul provided a bunch of great content to work from and I highly enjoyed the book and the audiobook!

However, Delvers LLC has made some enemies...if monsters, bandits, mages, criminals, bounty hunters, and even dark cults can be called, "some enemies." After their latest battle, the two have been separated and must adapt or die. Henry in particular faces a trial by fire - perhaps literally - that may be impossible for him to overcome. The two American men will face their greatest challenges yet while working as conscripted Berber Intelligence agents. But even while outnumbered, and most likely outgunned, the former veteran EMT and resilient IT programmer will be armed with modern Earth know-how.

Damn, This book set is a wild ride. Filled with wit, chaos, and a little bit of the ultra-violence! Not a lot of narrators could pull this off but its another shining example of both Harmon Cooper and Jeff Hayes!
