Everyone has a "schmuck" in their office - a difficult, disruptive person who upsets the workplace, confuses their coworkers, and causes concern. No one is safe from a schmuck. They come in many sizes and shapes. In her new audiobook, Dr. Jody Foster explains the entire spectrum of schmucks and how they can decrease productivity and generally make everyone else unhappy.

I was hoping for more helpful responses to how to address various situations. However, the author seems a tad mean spirited and mocks people, so I didn't like listening to it. didn't want it to corrupt my own heart so stopped listening after a chapter and a half. didn't hear real solutions to how to address situations, which is more of what I was looking for.

The relationship duo between borderlines and narcissists tends to be more common than we think. There is no true way to get a good picture of how many relationships span this dynamic, as many borderlines and narcissists go undiagnosed or undetected. Most narcissists don't have the intuition, knowledge of their condition, or interest in their inner world to pursue why they are the way they are. It is unlikely that they would seek treatment because of their overinflated egos...

However, this book is different, it is packed full of very useful information. nothing is over-explained, but everything is explained as much as need be.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

He talks about one night stands and bragging to his friends about it. He has caused many broken hearts and tear-filled nights. Better to be single than to hurt another human being. I've been hurt, I've felt pain, I know what heart break feels like, so I would not do that to anyone else. "Every hurt, every pain, every suffering you feel, engrave it on your heart as something you would never do to another human being" Linda Johnson, Buddhist speaker.

Would you ever listen to anything by Dave Perrotta again?

no

How could the performance have been better?

if he has a change of heart.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

heartbreak for all of those he has hurt.

Any additional comments?

Please do not listen to this nor follow any of this. do not let yourself become what he has become.
