Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

The Vertical Farm does a great job explaining the science and economy of an alternative method of farming. The description of hydroponics and aeroponics were very informative. The author makes a great case for the feasibility of this method of food production.

If you could sum up The Innovator's Solution in three words, what would they be?

Move up-market.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the way that they were able to back up each assertion with relevant examples.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I typically listen to my audio books at triple-speed (which, surprisingly is still easy to understand). As a result, I was able to listen to this book over the course of a day.
