An all-new Dresden Files story headlines this urban fantasy short story collection starring the Windy City's favorite wizard. From the Wild West to the bleachers at Wrigley Field, humans, zombies, incubi, and even fey royalty appear, ready to blur the line between friend and foe. In the never-before-published "Zoo Day", Harry treads new ground as a dad, while fan-favorite characters Molly Carpenter, his onetime apprentice, White Council Warden Anastasia Luccio, and even Bigfoot stalk through the pages of more classic tales.

I was a little nervous about an audio cookbook, but this was SO easy to follow! Betty Johnson is a fantastic narrator. I haven't made all of these recipes yet but the ones we've tried were absolutely a hit in our house! Looking forward to testing out more; my only complaint is that I wish it were longer!!!

You see the newest fad or crash diet everywhere - on TV, in magazines, in bookstores, on social media, and hear about it from your friends. Many of them promise weight loss with fast, quick results, often by eating less, and cutting out a lot of your favorite foods. So what harm could there be in trying? Not only do they make many people develop eating disorders, but they can slow down your metabolism, cause obsession over weight, increase weight gain over time, predispose us to certain diseases, and cause us to develop unhealthy.

I liked this book... I wanted to LOVE this book... and for the first few chapters I did; but then it got to the end. The last fifth of the book is nothing more than a sales pitch mixed with a how-to guide to the Keto diet... also known as the latest craze that will eventually be shown to be lacking just like the South Beach Diet, Atkins, the Low-Fat Diet, and every other fad diet that came before. But, just because it ended poorly doesn't mean it doesn't still contain good information that can help others. So - you know my opinion on the last 1/5th of the book - the rest of this review is about the first 4/5ths which I very much enjoyed and I think anyone seeking a healthy lifestyle and sustainable change would benefit form reading.

This book doesn't claim to be revolutionary, it doesn't claim to have a magic fix that will suddenly and instantaneously change your life for the better and make all of your weight loss goals become a reality (Again, in all but the final chapter at least). This start of the book explains, at its core, that while weight loss isn't EASY it is SIMPLE. It provides straightforward tools to implement habits and behaviors that can help you instill incremental change in your life that will ultimately lead to a healthier lifestyle and ultimately weight loss **regardless of the meal plan/diet approach you choose to get there**. All of which is packaged in a sustainable and realistic approach that enables long term success and helps to break the fad diet "crash and binge" cycle. While I would have liked more detail on some of the sections, the information provided is mostly backed by scientific evidence and provides a great overview of the main aspects of motivation, will power, habit forming, sustainability, and more.

The first chapters of this book wont change your life, but they'll give you the fundamental knowledge and functional tools you need to change it for yourself.

The last chapter... Well - if you're interested in Keto, it's a comprehensive guide to starting and maintaining a keto diet. Personally, I was hoping for something more than that from this book given the strong opening.

In this ferociously imaginative novel, abortion is once again illegal in America, in vitro fertilization is banned, and the Personhood Amendment grants rights of life, liberty, and property to every embryo. In a small Oregon fishing town, five very different women navigate these new barriers alongside age-old questions surrounding motherhood, identity, and freedom.

Mrs. Obama is quite possibly the classiest woman in modern politics, and she isn't even in politics! Her story is heart felt and honest, she doesn't sugar coat the struggles or overly embellish the highs. I'm not generally one for non-fiction that isn't also "functional" but this book was such a pleasure to experience, I feel like I not only got a better glimpse at this amazing woman but also a clearer understanding of what it's like to be entrenched in the world of politics when it's not what you would have chosen for yourself and how she learned to rise to every occasion and thrive even under the harshest circumstances.
