As an avid listener of audiobooks, podcasts, radio and so on, I downloaded this audio original to listen to while I cleaned the house. The title popped up in my suggestions and I thought, why not. I am 44 years old and the mother to 3 boys. I am not a YouTube follower and had no prior knowledge of who Molly Burke was. From the first 5 minutes of this audio, I was fully engaged and intrigued. Molly is brilliant writer, story teller, narrator and educator, to name a few. I learned so much that I did not even know I needed to learn! This story speaks to everyone in any situation. As a business owner myself I had always had questions about service animals and laws surrounded the food industry and guide/service dogs. Molly cleared up ALL the grey areas and questions that I had always had so, THANK YOU. I am really glad I downloaded this and I am even contemplating having my boys show me how to watch Molly on YouTube..... Overall, if you are reading this review and wondering if you want to listen to this story, please do. It is a wonderful listen and I'm so thankful I picked this on up! Best of luck to Molly in every chapter yet to come!

Wow. Kudos to these ladies and all involved in this original. This story brought me to tears while starting a fire of anger at the same time. I feel for these girls, their parents and coaches. So glad this monster was brought to justice and many accolades to the original girls who were brave enough to stand up and speak out!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES! It took me a little bit to get into this but once I did I couldn't stop. I was eager to get to my audiobook every day! This is a great story and finding out that the Tennessee Children's Home was an actual place and that some of the characters were actual people made it that much better for me.

Where does A Little Thing Called Life rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of my favorites

What did you like best about this story?

I felt compelled to get online and write a review for this book, which is something I don't normally do. I am a memoir junkie and saw this book pop up several times in the "suggestions for you" category. I always breezed by it. I am not from the Elvis generation and Bruce Jenner and David Foster never really peeked my interest. One day I decided to buy this out of the blue. I am SO glad I did. Linda has lived an extremely interesting life! What I found most interesting is her outlook on life and all she has been through. She seems like a really genuine, loyal, and honest person. I loved hearing her stories from the years she dated Elvis. I also found her life with Bruce Jenner to be really interesting too. Linda shed some light on questions I've had in my head over the whole "Caitlyn Jenner" thing too. Overall, Linda seems like a really cool person, someone I wish I knew. I think her boys are really lucky to have her. It seems as if she was the constant in their life, as well as many others. If you are considering this audiobook, do it! I just finished it and I am sad its over! I am going to miss listening to Lindas stories!

What does Linda Thompson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I did not know much about Elvis before reading this book. I found that part interesting.

Would you try another book from Fredrik Backman and/or Joan Walker?

Yes, because people seem to love this author

What could Fredrik Backman have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I just could not get into this book.... I could not figure out the story line or plot. I found it boring. I think I got through about 1/4 of the book and quit... sorry.... I wanted to love it.

Not the typical type book I listen to, but I like memoirs. This was a really great book. I never got bored. What a life this man has had, and he's only in his 30's. Pretty enlightening to hear his prospective of life and growing up in a hillbilly family. I had always been curious of "that lifestyle" but never looked to much into it. It's a heartwarming story of a family with lots of struggles, and lots of love. I'm happy for JD and his sister and the way their lives turned out despite the many setbacks stacked against them from the get go.
